We are a very small, very tight knit community. So, I think it is important that we have a thread where we can check in and let everyone know that we are safe.
At the present moment in the USA, there are at least 2 states that are under threat/being destroyed by fire, Texas is under water and Florida is about to be humped by a big bootied hurricane. That is to MY knowledge, not to mention the threat of nuclear war hanging over EVERYONE's heads if the USA and North Korea do really go at it.
So if you are in a dangerous situation (natural disaster, terrorist attack, etc), let us know if you are safe. We are in a world gone mad right now, and we need all the support we can get.

I was just wondering about how many of Zantarni folk have been affected by all of the natural disasters. I really hope all are safe, though I wonder if they would have a means to post.
I just got a notification that an 8.0 earthquake hit south Mexico

Thank you, Bo... this is nice to see. Yes, we are a very close-knit community and although we often seem to provide support for each other, it seems all the more important these days.
Mexico is also looking at a hurricane... Katia...

And to add to that, there was a large earthquake of the coast of Mexico, too. . .
The flooding in Texas continues, Hurricane Irma has done a heckuva lot of damage in the Caribbean already and is turning her sights on Florida. . .and if that weren't bad enough, Hurricane Jose is following the path of Irma.
Blaze, your majesty, I hope you will be safe in Florida as the latest projections look like Irma may march right up the middle of Florida.
If there has been a silver-lining so far, it has been that people helping people with only a few reports of looting, with all that damage in Texas. . .
With all that going on, I do not think I will ever complain about another 115 degree F day. . .
And a cute story coming out of this. . .Harvey and Irma have been married 75 years. . .

So say the latest models  Really, we won't know until it hits land and starts its path. Thank you for the well-wishes, Sir Scarz. I'll check in as is possible, but I'll be quite surprised if get through this storm without at least some loss of electricity.

I won't say I'm exactly safe but I am not under threat of weather. I am very land locked.

I sincerely hope everyone is ok. I feel terrible for the people/animals who are not. I'm lucky to be safe in the middle of the United States.
Queen Blaze yes we would appreciate you letting us know that you are alright. I will say a prayer for you.

I failed to get a job before school started. I'm getting kicked out of "my" house at the end of the month. I will be living with a friend so I'm not homeless but I don't know what this will mean. Will I get to keep my car? I don't know. Will I get to keep my cat? I don't know.
I'm trying to get my **** together but mentally I'm ****. Like, other than habit, I don't know what is keeping me going at this point.
Now excuse me while I distract myself with crayola water color and pretend like I can survive by making pretty pictures.

I will do what I can - thank you, Rayven. We are in the Tampa Bay area... on the "correct" side of this storm (if there is such a thing). We just have to see what happens at this point.
Good luck Moon - those are not necessarily the easiest of circumstances, but not horrible either...

I'm sorry to hear that Moon, and I pray everything will work out for you. I think it's best you haven't completely fallen apart, and just keep going. Even if it is just out of habit. It takes too long to pull yourself back together after falling apart. Instead, focus on getting a job, and whatever else you need to do to keep your life from completely falling apart. One thing I've learned is that no matter how awful something may seem at the time, we generally do muddle through it. I wish you luck, and I'm here if you need to talk. *hugs*

I tell you, by this point I view peoples' dreams of taking me to a tropical island as dire threats. I want to stay way in the middle of North Central Alberta, where the earthquakes only tick the birds off, and the tornadoes are few and far between. *so BAWK*
