I have tried doing the one word a few times once more but I just ned more time. Sixty seconds is enough time for me to have something come to mind. I think I might just ignore the time limit and whip out a small paragraph.

NaNoWriMo is coming in a few months. I need to be prepared XD even though there's still a awhile before November =)

I always want to try to do NaNoWriMo but then when the time comes around I get intimidated and don't try... I really should make myself do it this year... Yes

And my oneword for today, I quit after the last sentence after the minute was over this time instead of finishing a paragraph...

The word is cabinet -
She stirred the large pot of soup a few more times before reaching into her spice cabinet... "It needs just a little more flavor," she thought... She shuffled some bottles around til she found what she was looking for, an unlabeled, amber colored jar...

Yay! New poster! Welcome to the thread Crystal! I hope you enjoy the one-minute exercises. They are good for getting ideas pumping, though with only a minute per challenge, it seems like there's not too much pressure to do them well or poorly.

Ach. It's been a while since I had a chance to do a one-word challenge. I keep meaning to start up again, and then putting it off until life is less insane.

Next writing challenge, if the contest currently running ever finishes, we are totally doing a prose competition to finish the one-word stories that people have started!

I've been slacking on the one minute exercises. I never remember to do them, lol.
I used to hang out here in the Wordsmith's Nook but after it seemed to have died, I quit checking the forum. -sigh- This was my favorite hang out spot.

I should do something about it instead of reminiscing.

I will start thinking of ways to get people back in here again XD

You saw that too, hmm?

I really like the advice given here --

Mostly it's about not letting characters be too perfect. The writer in question does a webcomic, and the comics are quite good. I like her work a lot.

Goodness, has it really been since August that anyone posted in here? *dusts sadly*

I recently finished a short story about a fairy nun who has to save the world from her evil ex-husband with the help from a human infant and a lucky star.

What have you guys been up to?
