Ivy I could help with them creatures with a tiny few directions if they're needed/wanted. Actually I'd be glad to help with creation (or at least try to help) whenever I get the chance, just a shame nobody comes for me for help or even express their opinions or suggestions!

Fae Heh, no the mood for writing isn't the thing. I got the character posted in here written and it was no problem. The problem I am however having is the lack of creativity and ideas. That's the block I am still having.

I understand to avoid sexual themes and gore, but still the disturbing images are the issue. I should, admittedly as you said, get a few pointers from the staff.

Anything surreal, fantasy-ish. I don't want reality and normal life. I want adventures and such! Fantasy and science fiction are what I'm mostly interested in. Of course there's the occasional modern age with a hint of magic. Preferably also, the fact that humans aren't the only sentient characters in the RP world.

I have done these RPs: (One Two Three) for example.

Faemy stories can be anywhere between 1-6 pages or 30+ pages depending on how much of a trance I am in. If I truly have my writing spark back, I'll just write and write until I stop then I literally look around as if I'm lost. I reread my sentences, make a few small changes and put it in my binder.

Kahvi I'd very much appreciate your offer and will gladly take it. ^^

oooh I wanna try and draw those little creatures for you! And also help describe them maybe!

Ooh and I never take notes, I just have odd dreams involving my characters and then wake up and write them down lol. I have sketch books and note pads full of random stuff I wrote while half asleep!

0.o and I am behind on the Word a Day writing! Oh Noes!

here is mine for today!

He transformed into a bird, and flew high above the sky. Soaring, flowing with the wind. His wings stretched taught, his mind in awe at the images he saw flashing by below him. Then a noise, small and light, a soft Meow, awoke him and he snapped out of his dream to find his kitten, Marduk, nuzzling his neck.

Haha So I have Turtle, Kahvi, and Fae helping me with the creatures..this will turn out to be an awesome story!

Dudes I feel a writing spark this morning!

Turtle I just had a dream last night about my most precious character, and I do the same thing as you. If I dreamt my characters I will either remember every detail about the dream, or open notepad/word and type what I can still clearly see up.

Good, I need some activities (other than that oneword thing or so, it's not what I'm looking for now). Also helping you might help myself as well.

I'm ready to write!

Yay! One thing I don't want to do is make this story kiddie. I want to make it strong, thrilling, scary, etc. Of all places a Grocery store I know, but I am testing how well I can write scary stories and that is the setting I want to start. XD I mostly do romance and happy stuff, but I want to branch away and write in a new area.

So for these creatures, they are going to be my "devils".

Are we looking for weird looking or deadly looking scary "devils"? I'm guessing the first one.
I would go the adventure route myself instead of romance. In fact I'd even consider adventure to be a huge mishmash of all of them in balance, including horror.

But I believe I can help with a scary story despite my pitiful entry in the last halloween contest.

The effect of the makeup was instantaneous. From being a plain, boring, ordinary pre-teen girl, Izzie became a glamorous, sexy vixen. At least in her own mind.

"Bam!" She shouted, turning and pointing at herself in the mirror. She winked at her reflection. "We, darling, are absolutely irresistable."

~~

Kahvi -- I wish I had more experience with roleplays. I play tabletop games, but that is different. I think it's really cool that you have one past, one present alt history, and one future one going on in the three RP's you linked. That's a lot of diversity.

You could do a new world type story where humans travel to another planet and find new races.

~~

Ivy -- Wow. I'd love to go into that sort of trance. I have to work hard to put together a lot of pages. Too, I spend a lot of time fussing over them and editing them and polishing them to make them better. Usually my first draft has a lot of things in it that I don't really like and think should be improved.

Do you ever go back and work on older things you've done?

You could try to write it as realia. Like, as news bulletins, or as a diary, or something where you are chronicling the events as they happen.

Have you read World War Z? It does this really well, from many different points of view. It is pretty cool.

~~

Turtle -- aww. Yours is cute.

Fae I thought about making a really oppressing feeling one with all the heroes being stuffed into a ruin which leads to cavernsystem and into a whole other underground world but... I like that idea more.
Thanks! Of course in another way because people here probably aren't that attached to science fiction methinks. I would love some for myself but... people! I want players!

Also I didn't notice I had... diversity. I must be off my mind.

::BIG Edit::
I see your generators... and I raise you Donjon!. Why make-do with only names when you gave have MAPS and PLANETS and DICES and whatshiznot! Lookit all that crap!
Just suggesting this to your generator section at the first posts.

@WildFae: thank you! I just got in my head being woken up by a kitty because your kitties always wake you up lol!

@Ivykitsami: hmm... I keep thinking that they'll look something like Gremlins. Only not as goofy.

@Kahvikuppo: I love that Donjon thingy! I added it to the generator page! Also I ADORE SciFi! Please make that underground one! It'd make me a really happy turtle!
Very Happy Wink

I almost forgot my One Word for today...
Here it is...

What was he to do??? He was left no choice in the matter, and this dilemma was more than he could handle on his own... Where was she when he needed her??? She used to be his voice of reason and she always knew the answer to all the problems he had, but this time the problem was his to solve...

My One Word:

"Now, here was what we call a Dilemma boys. I was sittin there, and she just up and snuck up on me. I didn't know what I can do, but I knew I had ta get away from er. Now she was a biggun, she had eyes like saucers, and shoulders so massive they was wider than I was tall."

Supposed to be an old southern man telling a tall tale to a group of children lol

I just imagined an old southern guy sayin, "Die-Lem-Mah"

I did One Word finally:

Dilemma, what a dilemma. The choice of ridding the world of a pest, but that pest is what I love. To rid the world of my love, of my heart would be a curse, but to leave it there would be a curse as well. Why must war persist and exist? My only love, only there to hurt.

Kinda thought about fantasy because that's very present to me right now... thinking of the RP and whatnot. Imagined some old veteran warrior who lives by the sword.

To kill or not to kill ...? Now that was the question.

Ivonae pondered it, drumming her sharply tapered nails against her cheek as she thought. On one hand, the intruder was invading her realm. However, on the other, it seemed to have no clue exactly what it had stumbled into, nor any real understanding of the riches it was passing over so quickly in its search for whatever it was that it had come here for.

Kahvi -- That generator is awesome wrapped in awesome. Thank you!

Turtle -- Glad to have inspired it. Also, your one from tonight is entertaining. I am not usually a fan of typing out accents but I like the spice of it.

~

I am curious as to whether anyone has thought of continuing one from the exercises. I'd like to get inside some of these 60-second character's heads a bit more.

I just want to point out, about dilemma... The immediate I saw that word I was like "Did I wander to youtube to listen to that song ohwait this is oneword".
Tap Dancer's Dilemma is the song that immediately came to my mind.
