An old blind elf sits by the gates as newcomers arrive at Edingtol. He smiles, as most don't even realize that he is sitting there, until he stands and clears his throat.

"Ahem, I am Meldrick the Elder, and I want to welcome all who enter these gates. Your arrival in Edingtol marks your entry to the faire lands of Zantarni." He pauses, as his senses tell him many have stopped to hear his words.

"All who enter these gates are starting a new adventure¦ an adventure of a lifetime. Most you will meet along the way will show you kindness and an eagerness to help you all adapt to living here."

Meldrick runs his hand through his hair, "All that we ask is that you follow the rules of this land, as found here: The Rules of Zantarni. These rules were laid down by the leaders of Zantarni and are continuously updated, as the need arises."

"There are also other things that will help you with your journey through these lands. The ZanDex provides you with information, such as how you will go about earning gold. We ask that you take the time to read the Rules and The ZanDex, as most of what you need to know can be found there; as well as taking the time to visit the different forums, so that you have an idea of the proper location of places you may want to post."

"However, if you still have questions, feel free to ask them in The Great Library; there are always many locals there, who are willing to help. I want to remind you that as a small site, the threads do have a tendency to move along much more slowly than some of the places you may be familiar with, so we ask your patience while awaiting a reply."

Meldrick smiles, "Once again, I want to say welcome to Zantarni; I hope your stay here will be an enjoyable one."

A note: "I have the ability to check members IP's, please do not feel bad or slighted if I fail to welcome a new member who shows on an IP with multiple accounts, due to the current 'mules' rule."

A half naked male is welcome by the stranger. After the male listen to the one called, "Meldrick." He bids Meldrick goodbye, with a wave and a word or two.

I thought, perhaps, I would find one of Sir Meldrick's wonderful adventurous tales of dragons in this announcement, however, I think the information provided here will be more useful to our new citizen's of Zantarni Wink

Welcome to Zantarni, all ye new citizen's, and after reading the helpful information that has been put together for your use, if you still have questions, please feel free to ask, and I shall be happy to provide you with the answers, if I am able.

If I don't know the answers, I shall be more than willing to try and find out for you. If I'm not available, I'm sure there are plenty of others who will be Smile

i will try my very hardest to make this place stay wonderful! i shall use no foul language, if i do i apologize. teshia will also invite all of her friends to this amazing and magical place, where wonders and many companions await their arrivals. i hope to be a part of your community for many years to come, and i hope that everyone who is already here agrees with me on this. you are an amazing felow meldrick and i hope to see many more like you. Very Happy

Jaygo fell from the brush that lay across the courtyard from the gates.
He struggles to his feet and staggers toward the gate, greeting the Elder with illicit speech.
Longing for food and some sort of liquid sustanence, he bid farewell to the Elder, and made he way waywardly in search of some berries and a stream to drink from.

kiwi emerged panting from beyond the gates, running scared from the orcs; who not so long ago killed her parents. she sees a man around the gates and asks him for help " sir meldrick! please help me.. i-i.. the orcs! they... ". she simply could not finish her sentence before she fell to her knees, sobs racking her whole body. ashamed at her silly outburst she fell silent.

In a lightning move, Meldrick withdraws his blade, from its hidden space inside his staff. The rapier sharpnes of it hangs in the air as he uses his senses to sniff for Orcs. Though he is blind, he has not lost the ability to fight or defend others.

Sensing that there are no Orcs near, he slips teh blade back into its sheaf inside the staff, wondering how many actually saw his reaction.

"Lady Panda, you are safe now." He reaches out and touches her shoulder.

she looked into his eyes and knew she was safe. "thank you sir meldrick, i.. don't know how i can ever repay you.." silent tears were all she had left to say of her thanks. so she hugged him tightly, not knowing if she could leave; panda sat against the cold stone and almost.. almost fell asleep.

Meldrick knelt beside her, "Lady Panda, you can't sleep here, even in civilized Edingtol, there are thieves about." He reached out his hand to her. "Here, let me help you up and find you a room. There are many inns and hotels about, within a block or two from teh gates."

Watching from the shadow of some trees, blending easily with the foliage, she smiled and nodded to herself. This might be a fortuitous place after all. The girl was in need, the blind man, suprisingly agile and aware, despite his handicap,was quick to offer aid, protection, and comfort. Impressed with this place, and at least the two denizens she had seen thus far, she slipped through the gates. Keeping to what greenery was around, she did her best to both blend and observe. What would come to pass with this new venture? Well, only time would tell.

Meldrick 'looked' up, was it the wind he felt or was it another new arrival who did not wish to be seen. He smilied and muttered, "Sometimes the best way to be unnoticed is to stand in plain sight . . ."

Sir Danny was sitting below a shaddy tree, eating his shiny apple to regain strength. Several days had past since his first arrival to zantarni.

"Hmm, after reading the rules, maybe i go for training to improve myself"

^_^ i just looked at the shop, and my first quest item will be the robin hood outfit! next it will be the crusaders dress, but i want to start out with something that it a little less expensive first.
