A communal idea...

As I am once more finding myself dealing with a iRL situation that requires immediate attention, I am reminded of how you guys really came through for September when I was dealing with a different personal crisis situation, and how impressed by this (and very appreciative!) I was... which lead to an idea that I'd like to share with you...


We all know that there are some very creative and talented people here, and we know how much you all love Zantarni!! Most of us are also "real adults" now, with iRL obligations and responsibilities - things that can make it difficult to commit to becoming a regular pixelist or artist for Zan, even if you'd really like to.


So, what would you say if I were to open up the option to let you guys help out with Zantarni, on an "I'm available and willing" volunteer type basis? ... whenever you want to and are available to do so...


This would include opportunities to create items (pixeling) for Zantarni, or artworks (banners, etc.), or even helping me with some coding type tasks if there are any code-knowledgeable Zantarnians still among us...


The site management would stay with me and the Knights, of course, and I would set up a "secret" forum where those actively working on things can post their ideas, etc. But you could cycle in and out, helping Zantarni, as your schedule and availability permits...


What do you think? Are you "in"??

I'll be honest I really like this idea and find it to be quite promising! I've been wanting to help out with stuff but have been worried since I wouldn't be able to do it full time.

I'd say yes, but my creativity is more in yarn and scales and jump rings than in more traditional art mediums...

I really like this idea!

I also wanted to point out that we do have the option of implementing quests/storylines during events. So if you are more of a writer you could help out with that aspect if that is more of your jam.

Amurita is correct - my suggestions in the initial post are not all-inclusive.


If you're willing and able to help out, there are ways to do that, including writing storylines for events, reviewing and helping update old stickies, etc... There are areas of Zantarni that would benefit from more attention than the Knights and I have been able to give lately. So no, you don't necessarily have to be able to pixel, or draw digitally, or be able to code in order to help out, if that's what you'd like to do...
