For possibly the first time since the ice age, snow has settled on the ground in Houston. I have never seen snow like this here. Elsewhere in Texas? Yes. I have seen snow in the air. I have touched the snowflakes and watched them dissolve into a warm puddle. I have never seen a parking lot full of white cars and little white roofs.
Does snow ever bring ya'll a child-like glow? Winter is here finally and I feel rather awed. I hope everyone else is getting a little bit of snow as well. _________________ !Vday art sales!

I live in California where we don't get snow. I've only been to the snow a few times, but I like it ^^

Sassy I truly feel snow is magical. I don't know how or why, but it is. I've seen it many times. We don't get much here anymore, and I miss it. I could tell a million stories about it. I would recommend walking through a forest after a fresh snow during a full moon to anyone. Magic is in the air!!! Also it isn't all that dark because the moon reflects on the snow. _________________ Rayven, I look at your avatar and think "Queen Sparklebutt!"-Tam

Riley you definitely should. Mine was quite by accident. I was at a friend's house when I was a teenager, and we had went to visit a neighbor friend. We got a ride there, but had to walk back to her house. It was a little far in the dark to walk. I thought it would be horrible, but it turned out to be wonderful! _________________ Rayven, I look at your avatar and think "Queen Sparklebutt!"-Tam

My coworker from California was super salty over the snow. Even though it's warmed up quite a bit since the, he's still always wrapped up like he just got off a plane from New York. He thinks it's ungodly cold.
When I went to school in New Mexico, I saw snow every year and it was pretty fun though since it's just dirt rather than grass there, it gets pretty yuck fast when people walk through it. _________________ !Vday art sales!

I live in Western NY, so the glow wore off for me a long time ago.
Anyone remember Moon Boots? I miss them. They were the only boots that actually kept my feet warm in the snow and slush. It's amazing how much more fun you can have if your feet are warm. I've been in the woods in the snow wearing Moon Boots and had a great time. Any other boots? Not so much. _________________

When i was little i lived in Odessa and Amarillo. It snowed there and i was over the moon. I had lived in california for most of my life and it had not snowed often unless i went to visit family in paradise. I lived three for 9 years and it snowed a few times.
I finally got my very own EPIC white christmas in Erie PA in 2016. It was a massive storm. I was so excited but also terrified. Never had i seen SO much snow! New england winters are no joke. Wew. glad i wont ever see that again. I wanted a white christmas, i got one... thats all i ever wanna go through lol.

As a native Iowan snow gives me mixed feelings.
On one hand, child like glee and wonder, it's beautiful, it sparkles in the sun and it makes Christmas lights seem all the more gorgeous with the reflecting flow across people's yards.
Also sledding and forts, snow angels, and snowball fights~
On the other hand, once we get snow it rarely stops. I've had to push my car through thigh deep drifts far too many times in order to make it to work or to the grocery store that it really spoils the novelty.
Then there's the ice patches, and tracking salt and sand in from outside. The constant struggle that becomes housework.
