I recently came across a few different tutorials involving polymer clay. It seems you can make so much with it - beads, coasters, cute little figurines, and more. I've been wanting to craft something so I decided to order some - it should be here next week.
My first project will be a marbled jewelry dish.
What sort of clay do you work with?
Do you have any work you'd like to share?
Any tips? Favorite types of clay? Projects you'd like to try?
Share and discuss!

I'm currently making mini cake slices to make as rings because I find them so adorable! Polymer clay is so fun to work with.I also made a couple of really cute glow in the dark star charms.
I use Premo and Sculpey because they are the two brands available to me. I have access to Fimo as well, but since Premo is by Sculpey I use those two the most.
Tips? Make sure your clay is conditioned/kneaded very well otherwise it's very difficult to work with.
This is such a fun medium to work with! _________________

I never got into working with clay. I believe I tried when I was younger, but found I didn't have the patience for it. The only "clay" I work with now is the occasional play-doh, LOL! And that's only when I'm fidgeting and not wanting to bite my nails off ^^;
I look forward to seeing what you make, Cel!

Those are so cute, Calea! It's neat how real it can look. Do they make a glow clay? Or did you use some sort of paint?
I ordered Sculpey. I read that it's pretty easy to work with.
Thanks for the tips!
Play-doh is probably the closest thing to clay I've worked with. X)
Thanks Riley. I'll be sure to share pictures when I can.

Yes! They make glow in the dark clay. It's pretty awesome but not that bright. _________________

I love working in fimo and real clay, though I do not have room for a potting wheel where I am. My fave person to watch sculpt on YouTube is Diav Draconia, the stuff she makes is just amazing. When I have a chance, I will upload some pics of my stuff I have made. _________________

Oh very nice Absynthe!
I really like watching Sugar Charm Shop and Akameru Kawaii on youtube. They both do doll house miniatures so the stuff they make is very realistic looking.
There's also a girl who does lots of nerdy projects, but I can't remember her name at the moment. _________________

Here is my first dish.
When I'm done making a few more of these - I think I might try to follow one of those youtube tutorials.[/list]
