The reddish soil and rocks, then there was the land that has lost more of its color and so was a more pale soil and tanish. The day felt dry and sweltering hot. He wasn't sure what to do, storms where rare at this part of the land. There was a town only a few miles away now.. It used to not be a problem but more and more people have started to travel across by horse carriage.. and some would try to drive through the harsh landscape with a new type of contraption called a 'car'. Maybe they would go away with time.. But he wasn't sure. Ether way, he couldn't hide among the gathering of large boulders and rocks forever. He was not a coyote or snake. As the day dragged on he ended up falling asleep within the crevices he had hidden his naked dark skinned form.
These days, each day he was growing more and more hungry. At first the hunger got in his way of falling asleep.. but more and more he was feeling a bit more and more numb and going to sleep easier and easier.. His body was starting to show the strain of hunger and though he hated the heat he was thankful that at least he could still feel that sensation. That and that he had such dark skin that was so well suited for hot conditions. His naked body snuggled well on top of his blanket of feathers until the sun started to set and sky begun to darken. Well, if he had any chance to get away, maybe he should try in the night? But no, his hair glowed. At least.. He crawled from the blanket and out of the crevice within the rocks. He feebly climbed up atop one of the tall boulders, sitting on it with a grunt of slight pain. It would have been easier to get up, if he wasn't still clutching on to the wings he had lost so many years ago.
They still seemed so fresh.. blood dripping from the feathers. Each feather was pattered like owls feather only with different colorations of yellows. They seemed to, much like his hair glow. Large beautiful feathery wings with bone sticking out of each of the parts of the beginning parts of the wings. Cuts, as if they where repetitively cut at with a knife or sword. Though they had been cut away so so long ago, so many years ago, the blood looked still fresh and still dripped from the wings.
It was hard to let them go.. no he couldn't let them go.. "Will I die alone, scared, and hiding away from an ever changing world? Am I the land lightening elemental left breathing.. But I can't feed without my wings.." _________________ I'm a demon, an actual demon. A spirit puppeting a soulless body. Smoke wafted from the carburator and filled the air around the brothers Perdu. They had bought an automobile at the last city they had been in. It was a few weeks back when they just finished their last performance and had decided to look for a new settlement. The last place didn't attract enough people anymore and they were up for some new scenery. They had driven from village to village to see if the local people had any interest in a group of entertainers giving out shows.
A big cloud billowed up from under the hood, when Charon lifted it to inspect the turning engine. 'This is not good. I think it's shot.' Said Charon to his older brother who had just stepped out of the driver's seat. Charon felt the metal of the engine. It was hot and if he were human he would have burned his hand. 'Yeah, it's definitely a goner.' He looked around. They were on one of the dirt roads in the middle of nowhere. Well not nowhere. They were almost at a small village. It was right after the rocky canyon they were in. The river that cut the lands many centuries ago was just a dried up bedding now. Charon pondered about the best thing to do. Stay here in this scolding hot temperature and try to fix this faulty machine or just leave it here and call for a carriage in the next outpost. He looked at his brother. He was sweating profusely eventhough he was a fire elemental djinn. Something that indicated that this situation would get bothersome very soon. 'Should we go for the village?'
The brothers could get there easy enough by using their elemental powers, but they preferred staying a human. The chance of them being spotted would be very possible. People were more and more mobile. They drove these new machines, rode on horses or were moving in carriages. It would be just their luck to get caught by some sort of sheriff. They would be hanged just for being at the wrong place and time. A posse trying to kill them wouldn't be welcome. Not at all.
He estimated the time they would need to travel the road and the time they would need to climb and descend the rocky hill. 'If we go over that ridge, we'll save a lot of time.' He pointed to the steepest part of the canyon. Looking apologetically at Heron. The man wasn't one to travel on foot. That's why they had gotten the expensive contraption in the first place. Knowing full well it was exorbitantly expensive and gaudy. 'See, those horses are looking better and better don't they?' He said mockingly before he shrugged off his shirt and fastened it to his waist. _________________ @Achaia's

The sounds of coyotes howling, the sounds and noises of the many small creatures of the desert. The lightening elemental placed down the wings beside him. Well, at least as long as he didn't try to feed from them the wings would never rot. They would be able to sustain themselves. It wouldn't make them go back on him any more but it was still good. He wasn't a doll after all, pieces of flesh and bone can't just be placed together, especially with his back completely healed over. There was not even scarring on it. He used his black skinned hangs to start to wipe sweat off his body place by place. He knew even if he didn't want to draw attention to himself though that the dead chill of the desert nights would soon hit. A desert cut be as cold at night as it was hot during the day. Even if he didn't like it, if he didn't want to freeze he needed to make himself a fire. Humans used clothing but such things where just never him. He slowly slid his body off of the rock, pushing the pair of wings back as he slid forward. He herd them fall as he did. He landed on his feet, and though he didn't watch them fall he knew the folded par landed safely on the blanket of feathers. It was only when his feet where on the soil though that he noticed humans coming from a distance. It only looked like two of them though, so if they dared try to near him he could take them out easily. Humans where humans, he was an elemental. Then again, where they hunters or inslavers?
It wasn't something he enjoyed having to wonder about. Still, he had to, it was his day to day truth, fear, and reality. Well, he at least had enough life in him to take down two humans right? He wouldn't leave those filthy creatures with the satisfaction of taking his life or making him in to someones slave. Until they got close enough for him to know though he wouldn't attack.. In any case he started towards the other side of the rock formation. Hopefully the colors and lights of the sunset would make them less likely to notice his hair, but his skin was so black.. Then again black doesn't really call any attention when it could just be a shadow. Glowing bright long hair did though. In any case it was on the other side of the rock formation, keeping himself on the opposite side he saw the humans on did he dare to start looking for and collecting things to use for a fire to build for the night. Something to keep him from freezing to death. Humans couldn't kill him if the cold got him before then. Would they hunt him? did they see him? His fears boiled over and over until he accidentally woke up a snake, the rattlesnake becoming very cranky about that and his presence. Not wanting to be bitten he started to whistle, charming the serpent in to calming down so it could go back to sleep. "Don't let my presence disturb you little lady." he spoke quiet with his deep smooth voice. Well, it was mostly smooth, but his thirst and hunger got in the way of a completely smooth voice. It would be deeper too, if only he where in better health. So he continued to collect for the fire, trying to keep his eyes open for anything. _________________ I'm a demon, an actual demon. 'Wait up.' Said Heron to his brother who was walking a few paces in front of him. He was tired and aggravated. And in no mood to go faster. His mouth was dry and his clothes were soaking wet with sweat. He liked hot temperatures. Loved them even, but only if he could change into his other form. The heat now was devastating for this body. A body that wasn't build for long periods without liquid consumption.
Heron looked up and saw the setting sun. They would probably have to settle down somewhere soon and build a camp. They wouldn't be able to get to that outpost anytime soon and even if they did the message for a carriage would probably be sent out early tomorrow. Heron rubbed his chest. Feeling the wet cloth sticking to his body. Sleeping here in the wild would mean low temperatures. Temperatures that would cause normal human bodies to die from hypothermia. Especially with all this sweat and no warm clothes. But Charon and he would only need a small fire for warmth. How he wished that they could just use their abilities freely. They could just zip over this stupid rock formation and be done with it. But no, people out here seemed to love adventure and claiming undiscovered lands. They could be anywhere. Popping up when you least expect it.
'Charon, couldn't you just shift these rocks to the side.' Stopping between some big boulders to take a breath. He turned to look back at his broken down vehicle. It was still smoking and looking awefully pathetic in it's cloak of dirt and mud. Heron kicked a small stone down the hill. Causing a small wave of stones to follow it's path down. He turned back to follow Charon, who had simply climbed on. Not even replying to his remark. They were almost over the steepest part and practically on the top of the hill. Heron stopped mid motion. Seeing his brother's puzzled expression. 'What's wrong Charon? Wait. Stop. Don't tell me that there's more of these stupid rocks.' He slowly climbed further up to stand next to his brother. Looking at his face when he reached him and then turning his own gaze and following his brother's eyes. Heron was dumbstruck. There was a glowing entity moving about lower down the hill. It's figure on itself a shadow but it's hair giving off this amazing bright light. He nudged his brother, who was still frozen solid. 'What you think it is?' He whispered softly while moving down and tugging his brother with him. _________________ @Achaia's

The elemental finished gathering all he needed, so let out a sigh. He could finally go back to his little cramped hiding place and be alright for the morning. So he went back to the little hole among the rocks. He set the burnables near the feather blanket. It was so hot and dry that all it took to get the fire going was a spark from one of his hands. He would have smiled if not for his extreme real fears of humans and the fact that he knew he was starving. "Now, for water." There was a surprising large number of ways to get water in the desert. It was easy to survive in the desert as well as anywhere else if you knew the land. He walked to the feather blanket then kneeled down, picking up the large glowing wings with their beautiful patterns etched in yellow, though the wings where cut and still dripped with blood. He gently picked them up. Holding the pair with one of his arms the male sat down on to the feather blanket. His long black fingers grasped something hidden in a hole dug under one of the smaller rocks. a simple woven basket with a lid. He put it in to his lap, his sharp long black nails tracing over the lid before removing it. Within the tightly woven basket was water. Yes, it was a very good woven basket, that did not even leak out a single drop of water. A basket that must have taken much work to make. "Water is good but.. it isn't food. Life would be easier if solid foods where the answer." _________________ I'm a demon, an actual demon. A spirit puppeting a soulless body. Heron and Charon watched how the entity was gathering twigs, dried wood and shrubs. They had seen that it was a humanoid form when they had gotten closer. Having a head, rump and limbs. But with a mane that glowed. Giving off a shine like gold that glistened in the sun. Both of the men had never seen such a being before. They had seen many creatures, but this one was an enigma. Curiosity had flared in both of them and Heron had decided to observe it for a while from a distance. Watching it's every move. The creature's actions showed them both that it was a sentient being. Even docile as it walked around silently and in thought. It had gone into a crevice between some rocks. A place that would probably be it's burrow or the like.
Charon put his hand on the flat surface of a rock and closed his eyes. He called forth his powers into his hand and searched for the presence that was hiding between the rocks. It was alone. Preparing itself for the night. Charon looked at his brother who had seated himself on a boulder. 'It's alone. He has a shelter there. I don't think he'll do us any harm.' He said, then lifted his hand from the warm stone. He moved to Heron and leaned next to him. 'Something like a cave would give us protection from the wildlife. We could join him.' Charon lifted himself from the stone and walked to the opening. Hearing his brother walking closely behind him. He stopped before the crevice and pushed himself through the small opening. Tripping and falling with his hands on the ground. He looked up to see the being sitting on a pile of feathers. Blood covered it's limbs. Charon quickly moved back. Crawling away from the form and bumping into Heron who had just entered. 'Heron go back!' He yelled at the brother who wasn't paying any attention at the scene before him. Charon pushed him back. Pressing Heron against the hard stone. He saw his brother's angered face for an instance before it changed into a horrified expression. A muttered curse leaving his lips. _________________ @Achaia's

The lightening elemental moved the blanket of feathers, the blanket folding on itself many times as it had been moved back and.. well there was not much room in his crevice outside going up. He put the wings on top of the blanket of feathers and let the woven basket full of water easily slip from his lap to the spoil without tipping it or spilling the water. His feet where quickly on the ground, his body standing straight up, his body and muscles tensing. His body was still in a starved state but with his claws, fangs, and height he should at least be frightening enough. "Go away unless you want to be killed you blood thirsty foreigners! Killing the native humans of the land and calling them savage because your too stupid to understand their cultures and too greedy to care! Bringing plague, acting as if land is something that is something that can be owned and animals only exist to fill your stomachs! How many natives of the land must your people slaughter!? Killing land, killing animals, killing people! The native humans and creatures might as well all be in cages with booze tossed at them! Left to starve after their homelands are stolen and people are killed and holy lands are raped! I refuse to be killed or enslaved by any humans ever. Fear me, for I am a lightening elemental. My power and core of existence is lightening! The strongest kind of elemental, it would be easy for me to fry your bodies! Go away, leave me be! Unlike you beasts I actually honor my word, I will leave you both alone so as long as you both just go away and leave me alone." Maybe it was the fact that he looked starved, or the fact that the wings though not attached to his back looked very much like they where his own and very soaked in blood but.. it seemed though he seemed raciest the reality was it was what most whom had entered the united states had done to the natives of the land, and he was only one of many who where barely clinging on, covered in layers of emotional scars. Instead of being with his people, he was alone. Be it supernaturals or humans he was suffering from something many natives of the land where suffering from at the point, the possibility of being the last of your tribe. He was cornered, very plainly cornered. Instead of thinking about being open, all he could think of was not letting himself fall under the same fate he saw many fall under. _________________ I'm a demon, an actual demon. 'Oh crap!' Shouted Charon. The being was psycho. Charon leaned back. Covering his brother. He knew that if that elemental could do what it said it could, it would be bad for Heron. He could change himself rock solid in a blink of an eye. But his brother, he would probably get hurt when an electric current of a few thousand amps would coarse through his body. 'Go back through the hole Heron. Slowly.' He said while keeping his eyes on the angered person in front of him. He pushed back with his shoulders to give his brother a nudge, but he didn't budge. 'Heron? Did you hear me? Move back through that crack.' He gave his brother another push, but still the other man didn't move. Charon shifted his eyes to peer at his brother. What he saw didn't amuse him at all. He saw sympathy in his brother's eyes. Sympathy for a clearly mad being that wouldn't think twice about killing them. He didn't doubt it for a second. Those weird wings were probably ripped off from the last person who got curious. Maybe it was even it's mate. The shine from it looked the same as the elemental's hair, so it could be from one of his kind. They were obviously not his. The person wasn't bleeding or in pain when it had gathered wood. 'Heron!'
'Look at it Charon. Just look at it.' His brother whispered. 'It's starving and desperate. It won't kill us.'
Charon looked back at the elemental. His body was thin and his face had depressions around the eyes. They weren't clearly visible because of it's skin. If one concentrated below his eyes, they could see it as a slight discoloration. 'How do you know it won't freaking kill us and then eat us.'
'Do you see any blood around his mouth?' Heron said. 'He was just clutching those wings in his arms. Nothing more.'
True. There were no red stains on his lips. But he could have washed it away with that canister that had fallen on the ground. Charon was still doubtful. He trusted Heron's judgement. Trusted it in such a way that he would put his own life at stake. He fixed his stance and held his hands and arms up in a reassuring way. Showing the creature that they ment no harm. Then he spoke loudly. 'We're not here to harm anyone.' He said. 'My brother and I are just looking for some shelter. We saw you going in here and thought we could maybe join you. I assure you.' He said in a placating voice. 'We haven't killed anyone since we entered the new world. We haven't harmed anyone and we haven't stolen anything.' He looked back at his brother who's eyes were flaring a crimson red. The man was excited. That was the only time when his eyes would show it's blazing heat. 'Heron?' He wasn't sure if he should go on with his train of thought. If it was what his brother wanted.
'Little brother. This man can be a great asset to our little band of travelling entertainers.' Heron moved his twin aside. Showing the amount of trust he had in the elemental. 'As my brother said. We mean you no harm.' He waved a bit with his hands. 'We have no weapons to harm you with.' Referring to the pistols the people carried so much nowadays. 'But...' He said. A slow smile forming on his lips. 'We are most definitely not harmless.' He moved a finger to touch Charon's bare chest. Pointing it on his skin and calling out a small flame to lick his brother's flesh.
'Ouch!' Charon exclamed. Jumping back and hitting the stone wall. Rubbing the spot on his pec where his brother had burnt him. The skin wasn't red like any ordinary human but had turned into an earthen color. Much like dirt or mud. 'You moron! You could have shown it without hurting me!'
'I know, but this would be much faster. He obviously knows you're not human either now. Much more dramatic than showing our hands and calling up our powers.' He laughed at his brother who still had a sour expression on his face. 'And that face of yours is just simply priceless. I'd do that all over again.' _________________ @Achaia's

The elemental was visually surprised. Surprised that they didn't leave, what they said, one even coming closer.. and then at what they showed him and said. "The humans from the far away lands murdered so many and did so many horrible things I hadn't realized they would have let creatures of nature from their own lands live. I suppose I shouldn't have assumed.." He tried to brush off his surprise but he couldn't, not all the way. Still, he grabbed the feather blanket and pulled it out again, smoothing it out and grabbing his wings up. "You may stay for the night but only for the night. Do not touch my wings.. you may sit on the feather blanket. I would suggest though to just be near the fire, and to ether undress to let your clothes dry or use some other means to dry them if you have it. You should do your best to keep warm at night and cool at day."
He should have killed them, he still didn't trust them. Still, he refused to harm someone that seemed to not want to fight or harm, let alone had come closer instead of backed away. The other seemed to trust their words, or rather that persons brother. These people where strange, or maybe he thought that because he hadn't met a kind person in so long now.
"Well.. you can't blame me for being fearful. Even now foreigners claim peace with natives of the land but break the treaties they make over and over.. because of that there are many native humans that wonder or know that or if they are the last of their tribe. Other kind of creatures on our land have been fairing just as horrid. Even if we refrain from harming any, humans or otherwise it doesn't change the blood thirst. The ways of the natives of the land is to only use what one needs to use, to kill only as much as you need to eat. Pray for the dead animal and give thanks to it giving its life for you and use every single last piece of its body. Everything has a spirit, including the land.. You cannot own creatures or land.. I would be trying to help the native humans but..
humans from far away lands seem to have an affinity for wanting to kill or own things.. A long time ago I used to have many brothers and sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts, a mother, a father, grandparents, great grandparents.. All of us where happy and at piece before the strangers came to this land. My wife, my two daughters.. We where attacked and killed those who attacked us. We thought they where killers, and it wasn't until they attacked again was it found out that it had been only a scouting party.. I couldn't even keep my own wings attached to my back. My wings.. We fly with our wings but our wings also allow us to live off of nature and be healthy at all times. Now I can only feed during storms.. and I cannot fly..
and I could very well be the last of my kind.. and because I killed so many white humans I cannot go to the native tribes that are my friends.. they are already suffering enough. In a few more years I will be dead from a very slow starvation process. I'm going to die starving in a hole without even my own wings attached to me.. without my family.. I couldn't protect them.. I couldn't even protect myself enough to keep my wings attached to myself.. At least though the wings still feed themselves.. because of that even if it was many years ago, they still look very fresh and are still very much living unrotting flesh.." He felt very.. trapped.
Trapped in his situation, trapped by fate to die or be killed by humans. He grabbed the wings carefully bringing them next to himself to hold them with one of his arms. "The woven basket has water in it, drink. I eat energy not solid foods though so I have nothing but water to offer in that area." Even if he didn't fully trust them at least he could treat them as guests. They where guests after all. _________________ I'm a demon, an actual demon. A spirit puppeting a soulless body. The brothers had moved closer to the elemental. Seating themselves on the blanket that was spread on the hard stone. Heron seated himself the closest to the stranger and Charon moved to rest with his back on the stone wall. The oldest of the brothers seemed to be comfortable near the starving man. Just listening to his voice and not paying attention to the bloodied wings, but Charon. No. He was watching the elemental's every move. It was not until the creature had spoken about his family and the dying lands that he felt the sympathy his brother had previously shown on his face. Charon relaxed a little and even felt the pain the being was speaking of. He was of the land himself and knew that some people needed to destroy it for their own personal gain. It was a certain inevitability. Man needed to subjugate everything. Land, people, him. That was the lesson he had learned. Everything foreign needed to be enslaved or killed. With every means necessary. Charon grabbed the basket in both of his hands and sipped a bit of the liquid. It was indeed just water. He took one big swig and offered it to his brother. Who looked like needing the water more.
Heron grabbed the basket. Feeling the fine texture of the strands under his fingers. He was thinking about asking the elemental to join them. To not throw his life away and just whither and die in this godforsaken place. Everything deserved a second chance and he would see to it that he gave those in need the opportunity to start anew. It was a small thing he could do in this world. His own struggle to find their identity as traveling performers was a difficult one. It had been a long road. And that experience made him a better man in the end. He watched the elemental clutching his wings. They were magnificent. If they were his, he would have a difficult time letting go of them too. The thought of him not being able to change in his other form and hover was frightening. Heron took another sip and gave the basket back to his brother. He leaned back, placing his hands on the feathery blanket. Making the shirt tighten on his body and showing his muscled abdomen. 'No worries about us being cold. The small fire you have there is sufficient enough. I don't think you mentioned your name in that story of yours.' He gave a playful grin. 'I'm Heron Perdu and this little rugrat is my brother Charon.' Motioning to his brother who had choked on the water, when he heard the introduction. 'Don't mind him. He needs to warm up to you first.' He winked to the elemental. 'I would like to make you a proposition. But first, explain to me how you get your sustenance. How you take this energy and make it your own.' Heron unbuttoned his shirt and the top few buttons of his pants. Kicked off his black leather boots and leaned back again. Eying every movement and reaction of the interesting being. He would try and get him to join them. Whatever it took.
Charon saw his brother taking of his boots and did the same. They were dirty and smothering anyways and he loved the feel of his bare skin on the sand and rocks. He wiggled his toes when he felt the air and pushed them in the dirt. The shirt he had tied around his waist was already next to him. He had silently removed it when the elemental was telling his story.
Both men where bare chested and sweaty. Waiting for the stranger to introduce himself. _________________ @Achaia's

The elemental stares for a moment, as if a little lost in the two brothers actions before he spoke again. It seemed too good of a sight to not look for a little. He supposed he had been lonely for quite a long time now.. and both where fairly attractive. His name? Name? "Lightening elementals traditionally do not take names. There was simply never a need. I do not have a name.." He spoke more with his deep smooth voice. Really, he had never seen the point of names. He never saw the point of clothes ether, only for humans and only to protect from weather conditions they could otherwise not handle. It was probably why he himself was so comfortably bare naked. The winking was sort of confusing but he had easily brushed it off as a social thing that he didn't really fully get. Different cultures had different meanings to body language. The winking might actually signify something, but he would rather not ask. They where guests not prisoners. "I don't take energy and make it my own. After my body gets the energy it transforms it in to substance. The substance feeds my body in ways sleeping cannot. Sleeping restores my own energy but it's electrical life energy, and so I cannot use it to feed myself. Without my wings the only way to get energy is through an open mouth kiss or through biting. It means I would need to take the energy from a person. The way humans make energy with their machines is unnatural and toxic so I cannot feed from that energy. It would be like eating poison. A thunder elemental without wings if he feeds is nothing more then a parasite, besides the world the foreigners are changing this one in to doesn't involve me in it, and they will try their hardest to exclude the human natives as well. It's too bad all that wisdom is being killed away. Before everything started to change, be it war or no war humans lived in peace with nature, even when they where in war. The land was so lush, beautiful, healthy. There are still many medicines natives know that are far superior to the foreigners medicine.. Though it wont be if all those who know how to make those medicines are killed away... I will admit, you are the first two not from this land I have met that is honestly friendly and accepting.. Though I hope you aren't offended when I say tomorrow I'm going from this hiding spot as soon as I can.." Because sometimes they just seem friendly but then come back later to get what they want. Well, he should probably think of something to call himself, if only for the sake of making sure they did not feel uncomfortable in addressing him. Those people from other lands usually had a first and last night, right? It would be best to call himself something that fit that kind of style. It would only be for tonight anyway. "I suppose I can go with a temporary name for tonight. Call me Thundis Claveborn. Where you out in the desert long? You both seem quite thirsty." Yes, neither of them exactly drank a small amount. Then again it could have just been inexperience with deserts, or maybe something to do with the human forms from before. "..I never imagined I would die wingless, alone, hiding, trapped, yet still having committed no wrongs in the whole of my life." It was a sad thing to think about. He had never done a wrong, killing for the sake of your own life or your loved ones was not wrong. Yet.. "Yet this is how my life will end. I was a good friend, a good father, a good husband, a good son, and was always good to nature. Yet... I wonder how many in my land are sitting in my same situation thinking on very similar terms.." He started to move his fingers a bit in one of his hands, feeling the feathers of his wings beneath them. His glowing yellow eyes looked to the one closer to him, eying the body again and the fact that they where so close to him, and so comfortable. "I threatened your life not so long ago.. I don't understand how you can be so comfortable so close so fast.." _________________ I'm a demon, an actual demon. A spirit puppeting a soulless body. 'Ahhh, there is some interest and curiosity in this Thundis.' Thought Heron. He saw the man staring at his body. Not so much at Charon's but that was even better. Maybe Charon was too masculine for him. Who knows. But the sight of the elemental taking an interest pleased him very much. He didn't doubt the words that Thundis had spoken. The man looked innocent enough and forthcoming about his past and his future. Letting him leave tomorrow wouldn't be an option for Heron. What would the elemental do? Whither away in another place? Lost forever? No not something he would permit. Especially not to someone who has done nothing wrong to deserve the torment that he's gone through. It was practically a slow suicide he was planning. Slow and painful. Heron lowered his eyelids and put on his most seductive smile. Inching closer to the elemental. Staring into it's glowing eyes. 'Well Thundis' Dragging out the last syllable of the man's name. 'Let's just say that I have good people skills. ' He hovered in front of the other man's lips with his own. Parting them and wetting them with his tongue. He was goading him into a kiss. He was well aware of the fact that this man in front of him was starving. Starving to the point that he probably would hunger for a fix of his energy. He inched even closer. Practically tasting Thundis' lips.
Charon saw his brother making a move on the elemental and rolled his eyes. What was he thinking? He would rain on Heron's parade. Yeah that was what he'd do. How dare he get up close and personal with this fellow with him just an inch away. Charon moved to wrap his arms around his brother's neck to pull him back, but accidentally pushed the man closer to Thundis. Causing his brother to bump against the elemental. And in this situation it meant planting a kiss. Crap. Charon had the one arm around his brother's neck. He quickly retracted it a bit and leaned forward to watch his brother's face. His brother's face didn't move an inch but his eyes just turned to give him a sideways glance. That look said it all.
Heron knew what his brother had meant to do. Charon was probably feeling quite uncomfortable now. Being the one who actually pushed them together. He could always maintain the innocent act and tell the elemental that it wasn't his intention to actually kiss him. That his clumsy brother had caused their lips to touch. He closed his eyes and prayed for Thundis to take the bait. He didn't mind a little kiss with a stranger. A life was more important.

Thundis shifted, feeling a bit uncomfortable with how much closer the person came so fast. Good people skills? He was gloating him! He could feel the energy coming from the others mouth! It made fighting hunger hard all over again. It had been so easy for so long, he had become accustomed to having no food source most of the time. He wanted some breathing air, breathing air! "Would you please-" But then it happened, a kiss? A push that resulted in their lips on his? He felt his body stiffen and shift uncomfortably. But he also felt his hunger. Before he could get himself to pull away his instincts kicked in. His mouth opened and he fed on some of Harons energy. It wasn't much though before he managed to stand up and break his lips from the other mans. His wings sat on the feather blanket for now instead of in his arms and his eyes looked very very surprised. "back away.. a little.." He muttered quietly, feeling like saying it now was a little stupid. He had fed, and though he was hungry still his stomach couldn't take anymore. It could barely handle the amount it had taken. Had his stomach shrunken? So that could happen to elementals too.. He wasn't quite sure what to think or feel about this. Then there was the fact that he was kissed. He was kissed. Did this person remember he had made threats on their life? Why? Why? "Why?" He felt so confused on so many levels, so confused. Gender didn't really matter to him, it was everything else that had him feeling a bit clueless on things. "I'm not even sure I fully understand what's going on anymore.." It was an honest confession. He had NO idea what was going on in that persons head, or why that person had done what they had. "I at least know enough that we haven't known each other long enough for you to like me in any sort of way that involves kissing.. Didn't I threaten to kill you not so long ago?" _________________ I'm a demon, an actual demon. A spirit puppeting a soulless body. Heron was baffled. Just baffled. Was that all it took to feed him? One little open mouth as if the other man just sucked all of his breath and nothing more? He didn't feel any tongue. Not any swirling hotness or anything. Was that it? He frowned then burst into a loud laughter. The sound filling their small hole in the rocks. Priceless. This was so priceless. Was this all to save his life. How ridiculous to even have worried about the energy exchange. He had thought that it would have some sort of effect on his body. But he felt absolutely nothing. Not even an energy drain. Well he felt something to be honest. A bit of sexual tension was straining his body, but he had felt much worse. He grabbed his brother's arm and pulled his face closer. 'Little brother, little brother,' He kissed Charon on his hairs. 'No worries. I was just trying to find something out. That kiss was all my fault. I shouldn't have provoked you into action. I knew you would try to stop me.' He smiled at his brother and moved his attention to the shocked elemental. ' I'm sorry.' He said to Thundis. 'I don't want you to feel violated or anything.' He scooted a bit back. Pressing his back against his brother's chest. He rested himself in his brother's arms and went on with his little talk. 'I want you to come with us Thundis. We are both the leaders of a traveling group of performers. They exist out of special people. Special people like you and me. We perform. Do acts and make a living without being persecuted. Without the worries of a posse coming to lynch us and drag us off when we sleep. The people think the acts are cheap parlor tricks and nothing more. Come with us Thundis. I beg you.' Heron grabbed the confused man's hand. 'Don't throw your life away. We outcasts need to stick together.' He clenched his hand a bit tighter on the other man's. 'And if you really don't like it, you can always leave. Also, when it comes to your feeding you can have me for dinner any time you want.' Winking again at the other man with a devious smile. _________________ @Achaia's

Thundis started to calm, slowly moving back down. The brothers chatter made him start to realize, the closeness may have been ones fault but it was anothers fault about the kiss. Nobody was trying to have their way with him, their only plan had been to gloat him in to a kiss to feed him. He supposed the other brother wanted to stop it but made a mistake? It made sense. The world seemed clear again. "I am not special in the way you or your brother are. I and my kind are not outcasts, you mistake our situation. We are being treated like very exotic and very rare animals... I suppose since you still do not understand my situation... how very worlds apart it is then to being an 'outcast'... Think of this, why are my wings chopped off but myself alive? They are in such perfect full condition too... When someone sees us they do not see freaks, they see money. With ones who are purposely hunting us down for my certain color they see more money. I will list the most common colors to the least common.. blond dim glowing, green dim glowing, brown dim glowing, black glowing, grey dim glowing, silver glowing, copper glowing, bronze glowing, pale silver bright glowing, gold bright glowing, white bright glowing, then yellow bright glowing.. My color is the rarest. It may not be the most beautiful and mixed colors look much better then a pure color but.. I am still a rare color, and one often associated with lightening the most often.. The details of my familys death.. The white men we killed at first where scouters for poachers, poachers of elementals. When their group found us all I was bathing in a lake. They chopped off my wings because the feathers and the hair sell the highest and wild adults are considered too much of a risk to keep alive. Then like most rare and exotic creatures they think parts of our bodies have mystical powers if you ingest it.. Besides my wings being cut off my back was cut open, much of my flesh was hanging off its bones in that area.. Though there are no scars on my back.. When I managed to re connect with my family the rest of those humans where gone and the bodies had already been stripped and chopped apart so badly I couldn't really tell who had died, or which corpse belonged to who.. Or even how many dead bodies there where.. Even if I killed the ones that attacked me.. I was too badly injured to be able to just run right over to them.. I had been passed out in the water for hours before I had managed to crawl over to the mess.. I don't know for sure if all of them are dead, or if any of the younger ones or females where caged to be sold as slaves for the wealthy.. or as humans call some of their slaves, pets." He obviously didn't fully agree with a lot of things in the world, but he had every right to be bitter. He let out a sigh, his curiosity was just getting to him. "Heron, does that quick blink of an eye signify anything in your culture or is there something wrong with your eye? Because I do not believe it means anything in any of the native cultures here.. and what I fed from you was barely anything at all, my stomach has shrunken. Eventually I will need to feed a lot more then that every single day, multiple times. Nothing life threatening or even exhausting in the amount but.. the more I take the more likely it is to.. make you feel certain sensations through your body. Its a chemical our feeding produces to make sure the feeding doesn't create any pain.." _________________ I'm a demon, an actual demon. A spirit puppeting a soulless body.
