The Draconic Spirit

For thousands of years dragons have lived among mankind, interwoven in their short mortal lives as one of their own. They have all existed peacefully for the most part, fulfilling their roles in the natural order of the world’s existents. The rise and set of the sun, the breeze on the ocean, the heat of summer, the cool of winter, life and death, all dictated by the existence of dragons, the world nestled in the harmony of its own elements.

All that changed in an instance.

While mankind continued to live their lives in peace, dragon kind was spiraling into turmoil. The Dragons of Death, for reason unknown to any of their brethren, had decided to lash out against the world. They gathered in secret and formed a plan, to shape the world into a world of death by killing the very essence of spirit. In one night, they singlehandedly destroyed over half of the Dragons or Spirit that existed. Within the year, it looked as if the essence of spirit was no more. However, the Dragons of Death continued their search, as if they had missed one, and they now threaten to expose dragon kind, something the modern world might not be ready for.

There is one Dragon of Spirit left, and if the Dragons of Death find her, not only would all life perish once she is dead, but the elements of the world would be thrown into disarray, thus ending all of existence. The great Dragon God has summoned as many dragons as he could in order to find and protect the last Dragon of Spirit, as well as stop the Dragons of Death, and you are one of the ones he has called by name. The fate of the world rests in you claws.

Rules:
-All Zantarni Rules apply.
-No spamming, God modeing, or Auto hitting. It’s just not cool and no one likes it :p.
-Try not to post one or two liners, honestly >_> its kinda boring… on the flip side, if you post something long be careful not to make it so wordy that you lose people X3.
-You can play as many characters as you want, they can be good, they can be bad, they can be both if you want, it’s up to you, just make sure you can keep track of all your characters and that you can separate your post so that other people know which one is which.
-The only Element that can’t be played (at this time) is Spirit. All other elements are game, including Death.
-Speaking of elements they are as follows: The Metallics which are composed of Fire, Water, Lightning, Acid, and Dark, and The Gems which are composed of Earth, Wind, Light, Ice, and Life. Death and Spirit are the odd ones out that don’t fit in either category.
-If you have an idea for a different element, feel free to PM me your idea :3 I don’t bite and I’ve very open to ideas. Also your dragon doesn’t *have* to look like these pictures, feel free to change them if you like.
-Your power should reflect your element, don’t play a Fire Dragon and use water magic X3 that’s just silly. The only powers all Dragons share is flight and limited transformation (IE, human and/or animal). If you have any questions as to what exactly you can do, again, send me a PM or ask in the OOC.
- If you’re going to leave for more than a few days, let someone know or try and make sure you’re not engaged with everyone, no one likes to be left hanging.
-If you leave for longer than a week, I’m going to consider you MIA and everyone will just continue on.

Personality: Calm and wise, North rarely losses his temper, he’s been there, done that, and seen it all. There’s almost nothing that can surprise him.
Bio: North has been around since dragons have existed, so long in fact that some newer dragons often mistake him for a dragon god. He was in one of the first flights to start intermingling with humans and because of this, he holds a healthy respect for what they do and the hardships they face as a mortal race. North is also one of the last dragons that can commune with The Dragon Gods as most have dulled themselves with the pleasantries of modern times.
Picture/Description: North’s scales have dulled over the years and no longer shine like crystals, instead they look more like frosted stain glass windows. His eyes glow several vibrant colors and the pupils are no longer visible. North prefers to take the forum of a sparrow when he is in the company of humans nowadays, though he has been known to take on the forum of an middle aged man.

Personality: Shy, extremely quiet, and meek, she is easily scared and has problems trusting anyone she doesn’t know. She’s also a hopeless romantic.
Bio: Ariowna is the very last Dragon of Spirit and she is very aware of this. For that fact, she has taken to hiding in the crowded streets of New York in a last ditch effort to keep away from the Dragons that hunt her, as well as sleeping in churches in the hopes that they will stay away. She has no friends and won’t even speak to the people she runs into accidently.

Personality: Extremely strict, Ouroboros is a stiff natural born leader, though he can come off as crass and mean, he cares about those he rallies.
Bio: Ouroboros is like North, he’s been there and done that. However unlike North who is more of a diplomat, Ouroboros would much rather punch a person out to get his point across. He’s existed along side humans and fought in almost every war that is historically documented, and a few that aren’t. He’s been in the air force, the army, the marines, the navy, you name it, and it shows.
Picture/Description: Ever watch NCIS? He looks just like Gibbs in human forum. His Dragon form however, is impossibly massive, to the point that he rarely surfaces from the ground in it unless he absolutely needs to.

Bio: Rowena is the younger sister of Melusine, she was sent to live with a distant Fire element family in southern China since she couldn’t learn how to control her powers on her and Melusine’s island home. She’d be waiting over a thousand years to be reunited with her Water element family. Only to return and find everything abandoned and her family killed. However, she noticed that she could sense her sister’s scent through the air and water; desperately she’s been searching for Melusine, hoping to find her.

Bio: Gwethanah has live quite the calm life. In a castel filled with many books and treasures, passed down from the many generations of her family. Gwethanah has to wear a pendant to control her human form. Sadly she isn't as good with magic like most other dragons are. She lived peacefully and is glad to have a part in this adventure. She lives in a human form acting as her usual, graceful and elegant self.

Bio: She's pratically a mercinary who fights if you pay well. A theif and grew up moving around the world throuout the years of her life. Never really having a home and now hopes to save the world. She is very well at hiding and sneaking and hardly gets caught. She's only helping the spirit dragon because years ago death dragons killed her family. Sh eplans to get revenge now.

Bio: Although dead, Clarisse still walks among the living as a human. She seems just like an ordinary girl, even though she is a dragon inside. She seeks only to please herself, and if she helps you, it would be surprising indeed. She died because her family betrayed her for loving someone they didn't approve of. They tried to kill her lover, but ended up killing both of them. Her lover was human, and he died normally. She is a dragon though, and her spirit lives on.

Bio: Manasa works for a dragon over lord which is one of the orgiginal death dragons that managed to throw the world of dragons into chaos. Under his rule she serves him as an assassin while she also manages her meaning for life, collecting the souls of both dead humans and dragons. Ever since she can remember, Manasa has lived with the lord and followed every given order. Will she follow the call of the dragon god? Or will an order form her lord drive her to do the unthinkable?

Personality: Cunning and merciless, but interestingly enough not too keen on having a heavy hand in any matter. His pacifistic nature is reflected in what seems to be his only power--becoming intangible, which he can also do in his human form. Its obvious he waits for the perfect time to make a move. Generally distant and very detached, while maintaining only a minimal amount of influence over things.
Bio: The antithesis to the dragon god. Normally he isn't allowed on this plane of existence in physical form, but with the death of all but one spirit dragon that's no longer an issue. Surprisingly though he isn't on the same side as the death dragons. He intends to stop their plans but his intentions for the world after that, as well as for the last spirit dragon are unknown.

Bio: Trigary is on a mission to fulfill the Brood Lord of Death’s wish to kill the last Dragon of Spirit. He is willing to do anything and go through anyone to get this done. Currently it is unknown where his exact location is, but it is rumored to be hidden somewhere close to the ocean. Trigary isn’t afraid to attack in broad daylight if he feels it’s necessary.
Picture/Description: Tigary has been around for a long time, his scales have long since rotted off. He sometimes takes the form of a disease ridden demonic dog.

Long Island: Present Day

North sat along the beach and stared out into the horizon. The setting sun gleamed through his scales leaving a hazy rainbow pattern on the ground. He placed a claw on the ground and started tracing out the city skyline of Brooklyn. Once the sun had fully set, he stood up and looked into the night sky and opened his mouth. North let out a low bellow that was impossible to hear with human ears, any accidental passer buyers would have just felt a slight vibration in the air. To dragon however, it sounded like a loud rallying cry. He called out first to the last Dragon of Spirit, hoping she would come, then to the other dragons of the world, calling a few out specifically by the names that the Dragon God had given him. Once done, he sat back down in the sand and waited patiently, hoping that his call would not fall on deaf ears.

Ariowna woke up suddenly. For a brief instance she thought someone had yelled her name. Shaking the feeling off, she slowly laid her head down again and closed her eyes, hoping that she would get a few more hours of sleep before she needed to leave.

Crystaline raised her head. She was sleeping in a tree in central park. She shifted uncomfortablly and land on her feet. She had heard a call just now. Her name.....it didn't sound like the Dragons of Death, more like North.....if she wasn't mistaken. She went into a large dark alley and soared straight up in her dragon form. When she got high enough, that a human eye could barely see her she glided towards the voice, curiously. She wondered what the voice wanted and why did, he or she call the dragons.......

It was a mystery to her, until she goet there.

It was silent in the apartment room. July suddenly sat bolt upright in her bed, breathing deeply. She looked around. "What. . . has been going on lately?" July said quietly to herself. Zorro must of heard her sit up, for his head turned to look at her. July scratched behind his ears, then got out of the bed. She yawned, stretching her arms, and then opened the blinds to her window. The light poured into her room. She covered her eyes from it, then put them back down at her sides. It was a beautiful day that day. The sky was blue, the grass was green. She smiled, and then started changing into her usual clothes.

Aysel smiled as she walked off of the train. Attending school, though a regular thing for humans, was quite an annoyance to her considering her body should be able to create an older-looking human model for her to walk around in so she wouldn't be asked why she wasn't in school whenever she went somewhere. It was pathetic, really.

Niyol slowly began to awaken, he had fallen asleep flying again. "Ugh.." He sighed, making his way down to a rural meadow and changing into his human state. "I hate when that happens." The dragon slowly made his way towards the nearest town, hoping they had a decent bar.

North called out again, this time louder and much more demanding than before. He then closed his eyes and begun to pray silently to the Gods. So far his hopes we’re starting to dwindle as the night went on. After what seemed like hours, he heard the light flapping of wings. Opening his eyes he looked up and smiled. At least someone had heard him. He stood back up and stretched his body out once more, slightly stiff from sitting for so long.
“Welcome, Crystaline Blood of the East, you honor me with your presence,” he said bowing.

Ariowna sat up so quickly her head smacked the bottom of the church bell she had been sleeping under. A loud gong echoed throughout the tinny church causing her to yelp. Someone had called her name, she was sure of it. Now scared out of her mind, she quickly shifted to her human forum and jumped onto the roof. She slid down the side and landed gracefully onto the grass. Looking around, she started running towards the inner city, afraid that someone might be fallowing her.

Crystaline smiled. She lowered head a little and shifted into human form curtsing. "The pleasure is mine Lord North Lifegrace Brood Lord of Life,i was thinking there was definitely similar about that voice." She said settling down. "Just call me Crystaline." she smiled. Around dragons Crystaline had a little more courage, but usually she rarely would make conversation.

July stepped out of the apartment building, and paused. Once again, she heard her name called out, and this time even louder. She wondered if she would investigate it. She finally decided that it was another dragon calling for her, for every dragon. July went behind the dark alley next to the apartment building she lived in, and morphed into a magnificent green dragon. She flew upward, then searched for a sign of a dragon anywhere. At last, she found a gathering of dragon, and found that the dragon North and Crystaline was there. She flew towards that spot.

July landed gracefully with a small thud near North and Crystaline.

[[Still working out the post decoration, bear with me here guys. I doubt it will end up working anyways ^.^;; Oh I'm sorry for the long post.. I promise they all wont be this long. It's a first post thing, you know.]]

"Manasa, come here my dear,"

Those soft words rang in her mind and the warm feeling of them spider webbed through her flesh, sending a soft chill up her spine as it stopped her dead in her tracks. Manasa knew that voice, she recognized it like she would her own. It was that of her master. A wide smile crossed her face and she spun on her heal to run into the thrown room.

"Yes My Lord?" She asked stedily in her pure and rich human voice.

The room was the largest in the entire building and decorated with black marble, dark red rubies of the finest degree, and gold trim painted around the edges. The thrown was carved from the same black marble as the pillars that lined the walkway. Down the center of the walkway, was a beautiful deep red capret also lined in gold tassles. Engraved into the arms and headress of the marble thrown were briliant, shimmering, blood read rubies on which the human dragon sat. Manasa kneeled before him, as she always had.

He spoke no words, made little movement as he gave Manasa her new set of instructions. His words once again rang through her mind and filled her with warmth. The warmth compelled her to follow his exact words, his exact wishes and thats just what she would do, everytime he wished, when he wished it upon her.

"Yes, M'lord." Manasa's instructions were clear and she asked no questions as she set off to do her task.

"Manasa.." He called into her mind and she blinked to turn around and face him.

She hadn't walked very far away, a few steps maybe when, to her complete amazement, he stood from his thrown and walked down the few steps that surrounded the thrown twords her. In dragon years there were millions of years in difference, but his human form he was barely older than her. His blonde hair and shining maroon eyes that matched her own mezmerized her and she could almost feel her heart flutter and melt.

Sliently he came face to face with her, just inches away before her lightly touched her face, making her heart beat become soft and her breaths shallow. He caressed her face softly, running his hand over her cheek, around her jaw line, up to brush aginst her lips. Manasa couldn't hide the slight shudder that sprinkled over her. Suddenlt he slid his hand onto the small of her back while he cupped the back of her head in the other. Then his lips were to hers. Lightly at first and then passionately, letting their toungs meet briefly before slowly pulling away to gaze at her.

"Quickly now," He hummed inside of her head and walked away without another word.

Breathless and slightly stunned she did as directed, hurring out of the thrown room. W-what was that... Manasa thoght rappidly as she kept her head low to hide the blush and practically ran twords her room to get ready for the next assignment. Once there, Manasa almost slamed the door shut, slidding down the ebony wood of the door as it did. Her mind played the moment in her mind over and over and over... She had to get a grip!

With a deep breath she started packing everything from knives in her shirt to poison chopsticks in her hair. She had to focus.. Focus.. Another calming breath and she was off, jummping from the window and turning into a dragon in mid fall, taking off into the sky.

It was then when screaming filled her head. It hit her so suddenly that her long and slender body coild in on it's self as she squirmed. Manasa fell from the sky and skidded to the rough ground. When she stood, she stood with shakey human laegs. The screaming stopped and gave her time analyze what had happened.

A call? No, this can't be... But infact it was. A call from the.. "North?!" Manasa said aloud, puzzled. She turned to face the direction of the call and stared, hoping for something to make sense. Well if it was from the North, it would explain the reaction she had had to it, but who in the right mind would ever call a Death dragon to the North? After tring to reason with it and aginst it, she decided it wouldn't hurt to go..

Screaming hit her again, louder this time and sharper. With duifficulty, she stayed on her feet and
didn't black out. It was then that she could actually make out the sylables of , roughly, her name!

"Fine, fine!" She yelled into the air, "I'm coming. Just stop with the noises already."

Jummping into the air and changing swiftly into her slender drgon again, she wreached the North in mere minutes.

North looked towards July and smiled once more.
“I thank you both for coming, I was expecting more, but I fear that most have forgotten their duties to the world…” he said softly. “As you both may know, the world is on the verge of destruction, the Dragons of Death have grown desperate in their attempts to destroy all living things…”
North paused for a moment and looked to the sky.
“I know that they made the Dragons of Spirit their target because they are the physically weakest of us all,” he continued. “As we all know there is only one left, and she is all that separates us as well as all mortal life from absolute destruction.”
He looked back down at the two dragons.
“I have a request of both of you, as well as any other Dragons you meet, find the last Dragon of Spirit, and protect her,” he said bowing down again.

July thought for a moment. "Do you happen to know where she might be?" July asked North. She thought of all the places that she might look of the last Dragon of Spirit. She could be anywhere. . . it would take a long time to find her, and plus to add to all of this, she could disguise herself as an animal or a human.

“Believe it or not, she is hiding in New York, among its many people,” he said. “While finding her would be no easy task, I think it can be done.”
He looked back down at her.
“Look in the most spiritual of places; she is bound to be near one.”

“Look for someone with glowing gray eyes, and white hair,” he said. “You will know her once you find her; chances are she will run if you confront her. You must be careful not to attract any unwanted attention should you need to fallow her. ”
He looked back down at the sand, knelt down, and begun tracing out a human girl. Once finished he looked back up. “This is what she should look like.” He continued drawing, this time completing the picture of several hunched over, diseased, and angery looking dogs. “And this is the forum that the Dragons of Death are taking. For them it is the best way to travel undercover in a crowded city, but I have a feeling they will not stay undercover for very long, they are turning desperate, to the point of attacking innocent bystanders and destroying buildings.”
He stood back up and gazed off into the distance.
“You must becareful, they are not afraid to attack and kill their own brothers and sisters…” he said. “Time is precious, and we no longer have a second to spare.”
