Oh no. Poor old kitty. She's on my prayer list.

Yeah. I don't have space, or light, or humidity. But I bought a miniature moth orchid on Friday. One with spotted leaves, so it needs a little more light than the plain ones. I'm so smart... I also got a pretty little decorative gourd at the farmers market. I like gourds and coloured corn better than flowers, for decorative plant parts.

OH! I got the postcard on Friday! And it was so funny, because I didn't know that a falcon was a mascot for an Air Force place, but I'd just read an old story about a young airman who was learning to work with a golden robot falcon who had chosen her for its person.

Thank you. She is feeling better but not out of the woods yet.

Gourds are great for decoration and hopefully the plant will be happy there.

XD Happy accident. We have a big Air Force base here and I liked the card best out of the choices they had. Antique cards are nice but I think modern ones take more care in the design.

Give her a hug for me, if she'll let you?

Well, the orchid's opening a bud and not dropping it, so there's hope. It's already peed on the floor when I watered it. Gourds are so pretty/strange. And the gourd/cucumber family is so odd. Usually, when a plant cross pollinates, only the seeds are affected, the fruit is still the same. But gourd/cucumber family plants that are cross pollinated get different fruit from what they'd have had if they were true pollinated.

Oh, the story was one I'd written, so not that old. Just old. The falcon on the card looks happy, all ready to play, or to eat, or to nip fingers.

She's feeling better and is happy.

I'm glad the orchid is working out.

I'm so tired lately but things are at least working out.

I'm glad to hear that.

Me too. One of the ornamental sweet potatoes seems to have decided to die.

I'm glad to hear about the working out, too.

Yeah. I seem to have a rash of plants that grow and put out new shoots and then abruptly just go yellow and conk out. The sweet potato got dried out black tips first, though.

I had an ivy grow so fast that I couldn't keep it watered. A lot of time transplanting is the best thing you can do.

Three of these were young plants. One of the others was showing signs of thriving after a repot, and then just dropped dead overnight. I thought it may have been because of the soil I used, but one of the plants never saw that soil.

Hurricane flo is kicking me in the head.

Is your orchid also a moth orchid? I can't remember if I mentioned the one I bought. It's a mini, and actually still blooming. They had the bigger ones on sale for free for a certain number of store points, but I don't have Spaaaaaaace for one of those.

Been resting. Been sleeping a lot. Stupid period still hasn't gotten past spotting.

I don't know what kind it is. It was on sale for $3 because it wasn't blooming.

Ahhhh. Can you show me a picture?

I'm SO tired of isolation. Right now my brain feels like frozen mud.

I feel you. I'm not super isolated, I'm not social to start with and I still go to stores, but the years instability is too much. I chapped at my hair for fun today.

Also kitty is not feeling well again. The ash and dry air is taking its toll.

Awww. Yes, that's a moth orchid. Looks like she's from the same nursery as mine. She doesn't need repotting, though. Just keep her moss damp but not soggy and sometimes take her to sit in the bathroom when you have a shower. ...And look up advice from someone with more knowledge than me. XD

Yeah, I can still see people. Can still TALK to people, but the whole freaking world is full of COOTIES, so to speak, and I can't TOUCH anything. I've been eying my hair, but it's too short yet to give me an excuse.

Awww, poor old girl. *sends her loves*
