Yeah, I'm alright!!! Going to be induced a week early... so 16 whole days until the baby! I'm secretly hoping he decides to come on his own a little early, as the drug they will give me pretty much doubles the chance of needing a c-section D: Buuuuut if it comes down to it, I'll just have to deal! ^^
How're you?! _________________

C-sections aren't that bad really. My cousin had one last year and the scar is so tiny... but natural might be better ^^.

Aw, I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible for you!
My mom had two c-sections I think (one for me and one for the older of my two younger brothers). Her scar is barely visible.
I've been doing well. College has been keeping me busy, but I'm sure I'll look back on this semester as being super easy when Spring Semester rolls around. I'm taking 15 hours this semester... I have 17 next semester, the main difference is that next semester is packed full of general education courses... This semester I got to take more classes in my major and thus more classes that I'm actually interested in. _________________

My sister had her first baby when she was 14 and I was 13.... my mom snuck pictures of her c section and didnt prewarn me when I was flipping through the files! I think my terror of them comes from that- it was not a pretty sight and at the age it just looked like they were disemboweling my sister! Logically I know they arent horrible and that scars fade.... but the mental image still freaks me out!!!
I'm getting my membranes stripped on monday- I wont go into what that is as it is kind of an aekward procedure! But the doctor soing mine says that typically for her patients it is only a 24-48 hour wait and then labor starts! Eek! I'm just 37 weeks along today but I have gestational diabetes that requires a lot of medication so they are worried that my little guy will get too big or that the placenta won't stay intake if I go full term. So membrane stripping on monday and if that doesnt work then I will be induced on December 5! That is sooooo sooooon! I'm starting to be nervous finally!
17 hours is a pretty full courseload! Hopefully yoy can just knock out all the boring classes in one go and then not have to worry about them any more! _________________

*plops in*
I wont go into detail but I looked it up as I was curious because I don't think that I was ever offered one.
The procedure definitely sound awkward, but I can understand why they would offer it.
I ended up being three days over due and I told them to induce me because i wasn't going to leave the hospital just to come back 2 days later *rolls eyes*. They used a giant plastic crochet looking thing to pop my sac open to break my water. Then like, 7 hours later I gave birth.

I can bet that that made an impression! Sounds kind of like my mother telling my brothers and I stories of her EMS (Paramedic) days... I will never drive while I'm tired... EVER. I'm sure you'll be in good hands if you have to go through it though. I can certainly understand the mental image freaking you out! It would freak me out too.
I'm sorry you got gestational diabetes, I know that can be a bit rough. That's really soon! I hope everything goes smoothly for you. I can understand being nervous!
17 hours is a lot, but I am hoping to get it all done and over with. By the end of my Fall semester next year I should have an Associate's Degree. (Though I'll stay in until I get my Bachelor's). I'm still trying to decide if it's better for me to work a few years after I get out of college or if I should keep going to get my Master's Degree. I have to take the GRE's this summer just incase I decide to go to grad school (for my Master's or maybe even a Doctorate). _________________

No luck with the membrane thingy! ): just cramping and backache all week from it. Which is super lame! They said I was 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced and so it shouldve worked :/ oh well! Induction Thursday at 5 a.m.! I am sleep as much as I can to prepare lol. And hopefully I can hold off on the epidural long enough to get some benefit from moving around the room some.
I would say to stick with college as long as you can and while youre enmeshed in that lifesyyle anyway... it can be really difficult to get back into school because life afterwards just doesnt stop for anything!!! I quit high school to take care of my niece and nephew and (previously and no longer) bedridden mom. Even though I gor my GED right away and told myself I'd be in college and working toward a good life for us all in no time, I had to keep multiple jobs. I was 17- now I'm 23 and juuust now able to consider going to college online as a viable option, and honestly that's because my husband is in the military and is able to support our new little family. So... college first!!! Make life wait a while!
Ew, EMS stories! I cant even imagine. My whole family is in the medical field except me (well.. soonish. I want to go to school to become a nutritionist) and they all have no problem with blood and gore. I get so queasy!
Sorry for any typos, im on my pgone! ... exactly. _________________

Aw, I'm sorry! I hope everything went well for you though!
That's my plan, I'm currently thinking that if I was going to take any time off at all it might just be a semester. Will and I are planning on going to Europe when we graduate (provided that we both have the money to).
They were pretty awful. Lots of vivid descriptions. Ugh. And My mom wonders why I can't even look at needles anymore! _________________
