"My lord, look at the moon."

"Yeah. Beautiful, isn't it? Rachel and Shindo would have loved it..."

The two stood silent. The fist man, a 7 foot tall demon with sky blue skin and white hair, wearing clothing suited to nobility, holding a large claymore over his shoulder. The other man was about 6 feet tall, a pale man adorned in blood red armor with long, flowing black hair, wielding a sapphire longsword and a silver katana.

From behind them, a green haired high elf dropped from the tree, clad in lightweight armor that matched his hair and his jade eyes.

"Lord Corgan, you must stop dwelling in the past. The Great War is long over, and the world around us is changing. We are here to maintain a level of balance, because we were the only three to see the Great War to its end."

"I know..."

Corgan, the blood knight, looked from the moon to the ground below him.

"But we must make sure nobody knows where I am. I told everyone my slumber would be eternal. And now... I'm awakened to stop yet another unholy insurrection."

"Corgan, Tempest and I are more than capable of handling this issue. If you have need of rest, let us take care of it."

"No, Ryuain. This battle requires me. After all, I am the 'savior.' Let us proceed."

Corgan turned to his friends, and the three raised their weapons into the air.

Frost Moondancer was a high elven knight formerly in service to King Zhion of Midian. As a knight, he was almost nothing more than a tool used by the king. However, with his status of a knight revoked, he was hunted by the other, still "loyal" knights. This is what had put him on a small island off the coast of Ammon, and why he now found himself there, en route to Shiro, the holy city and capital of Canaan. If he could meet with High Queen Serenity Lafryte, then he could find sanctuary and maybe even become a knight or general once more.

However, he still sat in the Port City Seafire, watching the humans around him as they paid him no mind. It was a new feeling, blending with the world around him.

Selena ambled down the street of the city, humming absently to herself. Her light brown hair covered her pointed elven ears, so that she looked just about as human as anyone else there. Though, she did stand out a bit with her dress, a tad too fancy for a casual stroll through town. Her blue eyes scanned her surroundings, taking in anything and everything.

~*This is her, only with pointed ears, and minus the wings and melodramatic breeze: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l296/SkylarkMoon/72ecd3a9.jpg?t=1219103024 *~

He looked toward the town center after a moment, wondering where Kishi had gone. He had lost contact with her since their arrival. Now he was really starting to miss her company.

After a moment, he noticed another high elf in the crowd. Not just a high elf, but one that stood out even among the elves that mingled in this free city. He stared curiously at her, confused. He wasn't expecting... what was it about her? Her dress, he realized. It was a little extravagant, especially with this city. A port city, full of fishermen and other "common" folk.

"Interesting," he muttered under his breath, standing up to continue. Sadly, he couldn't wait for Kishi forever, though he knew he would fulfill his promise and help her reclaim what was rightfully hers.

Still looking around, Selena noticed another elf looking at her. She looked back at him and smiled, waving.

Frost nodded back to her in acknowledgement. Still, he had places to reach. He couldn't stand around chatting all day. He begun to make his way to the city outskirts, hoping that he wouldn't have another Zelgius incident...

Kishi wandered in seeming aimlessness around the port city, when in reality she was searching for Frost. She had told him she had a few things she needed to do and then she would be back but when she had returned from purchasing the things she needed to better control her magic he had disappeared. Suddenly she spotted him and sighed in relief. Picking her staff up so she wouldn't trip over it she ran up to him. "There you are!" she exclaimed. "Why did you leave? I said I would be back!"

"Well, its not like I never have anything to do."

His words were light, and he smiled as she came up to him.

"I'm glad you finally caught up. We have much to accomplish. We have to pass through the Zaor Forest to get to Canaan, and even at our pace that would take us at least four days' straight travel."

He looked back over his shoulder, wondering who the elf he had seen earlier had been.

((OOC: Do note that this is the port city that we arrived at, not the one we were going to in the last RP))

((So noted, thank you.))

Kishi sighed. "Where exactly are we going again?" she asked. "I don't remember if you've ever said." Part of the reason for that was that from the moment they had gotten on the ship that had brought them to this port city until they had gotten here Kishi had been sound asleep, recovering from the draining effects of battling with magic. She had barely managed to remember that Frost was a friend and was going to help her take her kingdom back from the Drow.

"From here, we head east. If we can reach the capital city of Canaan, then we can speak to High Queen Serenity about your plight and..."

He stopped short. Saying 'his plight' would make him sound self-centered, though he really did wish to regain his rank of knighthood.

"From there, we may be able to amass a force strong enough to combat the Drow who stole your homeland from you. Come, for we've much travel to accomplish."

"Alright," Kishi said. "Do you think we could maybe get some horses? We would be able to travel faster and carry more supplies with us if we did."

"Yes, but unless we seriously plan on returning to this port specifically, we probably lack the funding to get two horses. Not to mention this is a port city, so the merchants could very well be gone before we have the opportunity to return."

Frost turned back to the city. He took a sharp breath through his nostrils and let out a long sigh.

"Trouble... again. It always seems to go wherever we go."

Kishi stiffened. "What kind of trouble?" she demanded as she set her staff on the ground and looked around warily, ready for whatever form the trouble took. She was not eager for a fight, if that's what it was, after being so drained after the last one. However, if that's what the trouble would turn into then she would fight to defend herself.

"I'm not sure."

Frost gave a small sigh. Tightening his grip on his bow, he headed closer to the town center.

"But I can't just leave the problem unchecked."

Selena watched the man she'd waved to walk away and start talking to a woman. Suddenly she sensed something in the center of town, something with... malicious intent. She headed towards the problem, in the town center.
