I don't like sweet pickles. I wish I did. There's always some in the fridge because my parents like them. I do like cucumbers soaked in vinegar, water, sugar, and onions. At least I think that's how they're made. My Mom is always the one that made them. They are slightly sweet.

Saiyouri-I know what you mean. I've met some doctors that made me wonder how the heck they got where they are.

XD At least he's getting some attention from Night. I'm sure he's happy enough with what he's getting.

That's good. Medications can be difficult to manage, especially with the stupid side effects.

I remember my step-grandpa always had a jar of cold water and a jar of pickles in the fridge. I always got some of both when I went to visit. Hopefully he didn't care. Grandma told me I could have some. XD

Yeah. Not a sweet pickle person either, other than those grapes. Try slicing up a cuke in lemon juice and water, Rayven. Let them sit overnight, then take them out and eat them (with some salt), and put a new sliced cuke in the lemon. Do that for about a week, and then drink the delicious cucumber and lemon water.

I went out in minus 30 Celsius weather to get groceries and stuff. And one of the malls had an alarm, which triggered a panic attack, which made me kind of fried all day.

Rayven- Those types of doctors you tend to run into Ohio all the time. Sadly all I ran into weren't good and shouldn't even be allowed to have their licenses or degrees. Some committed malpractice.

I stole veggies out of my grandma's garden and she never cared. Why would she? I was more than willing to eat my veggies. Though I don't understand how some kids refuse to. My kids ate theirs and I never had to trick them or anything.

It's cold again outside. This weather is so smart. I'm surprised no one asked mother nature to speak at a top tier university yet. Or give her a doctorate. >.>

Tam-That is a combination I never would have thought of. Then again, I didn't think of the vinegar and onion one either. XD I'll give it a shot. I'll see if Mom wants to try it too.

Awww. That sounds like a horrible trip out of the house. I bet you were glad to make it home.

Saiyouri-That doesn't surprise me.

That's good that you all ate your vegetables. I ate better when I was a kid too. Now...not so much. Embarassed I still eat better than my brother though. He's a waaayyy pickier eater than me. He mostly eats meat. Shocked I'm not sure how he survives.

XD Same here. The door going out to the back yard was slightly frozen. That's never happened before that I recall. Earlier when I took Max out to potty I stepped out onto the grass and when I got back on the concrete the bottoms of my shoes were sticking. I don't remember that happening before either. *shakes head*

We had to take Max to the vet for an allergy shot. It was not a fun trip. He hates the vet and is so extra about it. He kept trying to leave before we'd even been seen and he refused to go in the room when they called his name. He laid on floor so I had to pick him up. I put him on the table and he jumped into my arms. I had to hold him, kicking and screaming, the whole time. When we were trying to pay, he laid down on the floor again like a drama queen. So embarrassing. XD

Hi all (again). I've been trying to get online to post, but have been unsuccessful. Things are good and not good at the same time; working on moving more into the good direction.

So over this freezing weather. And in reading your post, Rayven, I am reminded I need to make a vet apt for my puppers to get her ears rechecked. Very Happy

And speaking of vegetables, I just signed up for Imperfect Produce. They'll send you fruit and vegetables that the stores won't take because they don't "look perfect". Had the first delivery a couple days ago, and I like it so far.

Rayven- I still like eating veggies, they just hate me. Since I got my ulcer several years ago, veggies give me gas >.> no idea why since I can eat things I used to not be able to because of the ulcer and with it gone that is the only thing besides fruits that my body hates. But fruits make me sick now. I swear my body is a moron at times.

Gotta love this weather. It's cold and snowed a smidge.

Haha that is one dog that sure loves to act out, at least it doesn't sound that bad. It could be worse.

Hi Riley, glad you are working on improving things. Hope you can get it all done the way you hope it to.

Sounds like an interesting service. Kinda nice that they won't go to waste.

Riley-I hope things get better for you soon. Feel free to PM me if you need to talk. *hugs*

Did she have an ear infection or mites? Either are a pain. I had one dog that had yeasty, itchy ears all the time. She was constantly under treatment for it but she still managed to blow her ear up like a balloon and needed surgery. Sad

I've never heard of that before. That sounds like a great option. I might look into that for us.

Saiyouri-That stinks that you can't eat them since you like them. So many people don't like them and they don't have a good reason not to eat them like you do.

Tell me about it. Lol We're supposed to get up to an inch of freezing rain and/or snow tonight. We'll see what happens.

XD Very true. I've had worse. I just feel bad for him and I wish he didn't hate the vet so bad.

Rayven- I can't understand why some people can't stand eating their veggies, hubs is like that and he can't explain why it is gross to him. I wished something like that made sense to me. I can understand some things not being able to enjoy, but all veggies just doesn't make sense at all.

This roller-coaster of weather is really annoying. Warm but cold here. It's about the 20/30s and then we get a couple 50s then back to 30s. Nothing about this season makes sense at all. Lets hope you didn't get the freezing rain.

I heard that dogs tend to think the vet is evil. I threaten the kitties with seeing a kitty specialist. I hide who that is really. So far everyone is good enough not to see one. Which is good since there is only one place that is good to me. Others reviews are beyond horrible. If you are trying to find a good place to take your kitty to get her special parts removed, it would be nice to not read on the first review that their lil girl went in to be fixed and later that day got a call saying she's dead. I immediately left that review and went to do more research for good vets. >.>

I am not a big fan of many vegetables and fruits. . .some of them taste vile to me, like okra and some it depends on how they are prepared. . .like you can keep Kale chips, but if you put kale in a cassoulet, it is very different. . .I also love baby kale and baby arugula but you can keep broccoli, asparagus and cauliflower.

As to fruits, I just have to be in the mood for them.

I think a lot of whether someone likes vegetables is how they were presented them as a kid. . .being forced to eat them, may be the reason I hate some of them. . .when I was little and told I had to eat something before I could go to bed, I would sit until I fell asleep. . .I have never reacted well to threats.

Our weather has been on a roller coaster. . .but nothing like the midwest and east. . .(30 is very cold for Vegas).

My Pit Bull, Tank, loved going to the vet, because everyone there loved him, even when he was very sick, he'd give them a wag and behave like a little gentleman. Finding a good vet really is a daunting task.

Saiyouri-I agree. There are a lot of things on this planet that don't make much sense to me either. Perhaps we should start a new planet. XD

Unfortunately we did. The first thing Max did this morning when I let him out to potty was to start licking the patio like a popsicle. XD I'd say we got at least an 1/8 of an inch. My Mom's church got cancelled which is really a shame because they had already prepared a bunch of food for the Valentine's Day lunch they were supposed to have after church today. I feel sorry for the lady that made all of that.

I don't blame you. That was a bad review. I'm lucky to have a great vet. Max just doesn't appreciate it. Lol I hope you can find a good place to take them when you need to.

Sir Scarz-I have never agreed with forcing kids to eat vegetables, or anything they don't like to eat. I was lucky enough to have parents that didn't do that, and I managed to eat enough good stuff to grow up. Lol That's what vitamins are for. To this day I refuse to eat anything I don't want to. I figure it's my mouth and I get to decide what to put in it. XD

Awww. Tank sounds like he was such a good boy. Very Happy I can't say that I've had many animals that liked going to the vet, but I've had plenty that didn't take it as bad as Max.

I'll eat the broccoli, asparagus and cauliflower. Those are three of my favourites, though the first and last have enough fibre in them to tick my insides off. I want to try okra someday. Especially if I can get some pickled.

When I was young my parents would force me to eat things. They would also tell me other things were disgusting. I have since found that my mother is wrong, and that yellow snap beans are almost as tasty as green or purple snap beans, only not being quite so tasty because they just don't have as much flavour. When I was tiny I hated all snap beans, now I'll sit and eat them by the jar if I can get good home canned ones like my mom used to make. I'll also eat them blanched and mostly raw. I like sea veggies too.

Lady Rayven, Tank was an incredible dog, I still miss him and the funny thing is, my cat, Nico has many of his characteristics, so he reminds me of Tank often.

I also agree with you, it is my mouth and I decide what to put in it Wink

Saiyouri - Thank you, me too. Very Happy And it is an interesting service, and their model is the only reason I signed up for it. I really don't like seeing food go to waste, and I think there is a lot more we, as a society, can do more to mitigate it. I know other countries like Finland have already started doing things like this.

Rayven - *hugs* Thank you for the offer. Very Happy She had a yeast infection. She's had her ears cleaned out by the vet and a had two weeks of ear meds, but that didn't get rid of it completely. Then she had another round of ear cleaning and stronger ear ointment. But I can tell it's still not resolved. They still smell like yeast, and she still digs her foot into them.

You can pick your box size too. Since it's only my husband and I, we have the smaller box, and you can have it delivered every week, or every other week. And you can customize your box each week.

I just made a pan of roasted veggies last night. I used red onion, broccoli, red bell pepper, and carrots. I think I used salt, black pepper, onion powder, basil, and a bit of parsley for seasoning. It was an experiment, and it turned out well, so I'm going to add the recipe to my book. Very Happy

I'm not an overall fan of veggies, but if I can find away to cook them to where we'll eat them, then I'll go for it. But there are still some veggies that I just won't eat. Tomatoes, for one. Yuck.

I like tomatoes, but tomatoes are related to potatoes, so they're counted as Tam poison. And for me, green beans, broccoli, and cabbage are about the only veggies that I really like cooked. I even like my asparagus raw. Or lightly grilled. I'm weird. I know.

I like tomatoes, too, but only the vine ripe ones. . .I didn't know that they were related to potatoes. . .and many consider tomatoes to be a fruit.

but I didn't always like tomatoes, growing up I only liked ketchup, I would eat my spaghetti without sauce and I never ate pizza as a kid. . .I guess we all change.
