My resolution is to finish writing a book. It's something I've wanted to do since I was 14, but an un-professionally-diagnosed attention disorder (depression, too) and life have kicked my butt for the past 16 years. I am finally back into writing after being way too stressed out to do it, so I am GOING to finish writing something. I'm working on the second chapter and I'm proud of what I've written so far, even if it's just a crappy, rough outline.

I'd say I don't really do resolutions. I don't plan changes and stuff around a certain time of year. However, I have coincidentally been making changes to my life the last few weeks. I think probably because with Christmas over, work has started to slow down and my hours are back to normal so I have some time to think again, and I want to change some things.
Change #1: I was looking at clothes online and I was thinking about my current style. And I've been thinking about changing my style for a while now, but I've been planning a sort of ambitious change that's based on what I think is "cool" clothes. And I basically decided, no. I'm going back to my 13-year-old style of baggy sweaters with glitter and sequins, and fuzziness, and general cuteness. My sister made fun of me for not dressing my age at the time and I felt self conscious and made an effort to dress older, but you know what? I don't care anymore! Thinking back, that was when my style felt the most genuinely "me". So I'm changing things up! I already went to Goodwill and found a few cute sweaters .  
Change #2: When I decided I no longer cared if I look or act "my age", it opened a lot of possibilities. About a week later I decided, I'm painting my furniture and changing my house "style". I live in an apartment, so I can't paint the walls and stuff, but I'm painting my dressers and selves; and I bought a bunch of organizing stuff because I've also let things become a mess over Christmas. But I don't really have good storage to keep organized. And best of all, it's all cute pastel stuff! I'm living my best life and I'm not caring if it's "mature".

My resolution is to engage in more self-care. That includes nutrition, hygiene, hobbies, and habits. I am getting back into therapy and starting some support programs for healthy weight and such. Going to try to convince myself I am worth the time and effort and get motivated!

I actually had one this year: draw more, become more of an artist. Well, I'm a crappy artist, but progressing!
