Good morning Myosotis.
How are you?
My day yesterday was quite busy - I got to play in the rain! Today, I'm not quite sure yet what is going to happen.
I completely understand working at home and chatting once in a while when you need a mental break from work - it's what I do and why I'm often online too!

Hello Blazestorm!
I'm alright just having to deal with a bit of cramps but nothing I cant handle.
Right now working on a comic project for my job. And in 2 hours I'll be working in a shop for about 4 hours. Or 5.
In the evening I hope to get a bit of a break to either game or do some crafting
So it's raining huh? Here it looks like it is about to, wich is nice. It's very relaxing to me

A comic project for your job? That sounds like a lot of fun - what do you do, exactly?
Yes, it's nice to get a real rainy day - it doesn't happen here often... even when it rains, it's usually just for a few minutes before the sun comes out again.
How are you doing today? Are you feeling any better?

I am part time freelance artist. So I basically have worked on personal animations, for someone else, illustrated a book for Tomska on youtube and am now working on a comic for Eddache. Also a youtuber.
I hope to make free time again to work on my own children book project again since I had to put it at the side a bit due to homelife.
Aw darn I'm sorry it doesnt rain much at your place. Here it does it plenty enough but last time when it was a full day it caused a flooding.
I'm feeling somewhat better, I received meds to deal with the cramps.
I hope your day so far is nice!

I was stuck in a hospital for 6 hours because we got scared there was something with my appendix. Turned out alright, still in pain but I received meds.

Oh! I'm glad it was just a scare, Myosotis, and not something more serious like your appendix having issues. I hope you feel better soon
That's fun - doing freelance illustrations, etc. How did you manage to get yourself enough business doing that to get you started? It can be a tough thing, doing freelance art like that, but it sounds like you've made it work
I'm in Florida, the "sunshine state". It tends to rain in spurts of 30 minutes before the sun comes back out. Or, we get a couple days of downpours if a hurricane comes close enough to "share" but having a gentle all-day rain is kind of rare here.
Yesterday was errand day and cooking day for me. Today is probably more of the same, although maybe to a lesser degree, and I need to make some decisions about my plans and schedule for the rest of the week too...

Actually I just sent Tomska a fanmail couple of years ago and thats how it started. He liked my work and so did his co-workers.That's in the end just part time, I work in a shop right now but after I moved in with my bf I'll look for another part time so I can quit the shop. I hope to work in a museum .
I kinda suck with scheduling but to be fair I still live with my parents. So scheduling is everywhere.

cute!
... I need to do more of that kind of thing too... fun digital sketches and drawings just for the heck of it (I tend to be more of an old-school, pen/whatever-on-paper type artist) but just never seem to have time for it

Ahhh, watercolors! That's one medium I never really pursued much... which is funny given some of the other things I've messed around with -and combined- over the years. I should dig out my watercolors and ... well, I should dig out a few things, actually, and just do more creating in general...
Yes, scanning watercolors would prove to be an interesting experience, wouldn't it? I doubt the computer or the scanning process can really pick up all the subtleties from an actual watercolored piece very well...

that would be correct. It even either overlights or darkens the picture, no matter what setting. In the end watercolors and anything traditional are best to be seen in person.
