I’ll happily talk about just about anything.
I think on most forums I just talk with people about what’s been happening in their lives and mine.
I’m heading to lunch with my dad and then work after. I do that every Friday, we have a good time.
Also started going to Panera before work to get out of the house and hopefully do something productive on my computer for a few hours every day. I think I’ll probably do pixel art. :3
I work in an Asian import store; anime, kpop, Pokémon, adorable stationary and plushies. It’s at a mall, about an hour drive from my apartment, I used to live pretty close but I stayed working there when I moved.
I like anime, but I’m not a super fan and I haven’t watched much lately. I’m very into all the adorable stuff though. I love filling my life with things that make me smile to look at them, so even my pens are cute.:3
Otherwise I’ve been mostly hanging out at home lately. I started making a blanket on a loom, and it’s going alright so far. I’m not very good at loom knitting yet, but I’m getting the hang of it. I started watching Game of Thrones again, because the show I was watching on Netflix is on Hulu now. (Cry) But my sister bought the first few seasons of Game of Thrones on her Amazon account before she could watch it online, so I’m watching that. And I’ve been watching a YouTuber play The Sims 4. So I guess I’m a nerd…

Le gasp! A fellow loom knitter! I've made a few blankets (er...may have a couple that have been in progress for several years now tbh...), though nothing too fancy yet. What stitch are you using for it/are you doing a particular pattern or just something simple?
I wouldn't worry about not "being good" at it yet. Like most crafts, the more you do, the better you get. And don't be afraid to try things you think might be beyond your skill level because when in doubt, there's usually (though with loom knitting, not always) a video somewhere that can walk you through it.

My great Aunt Lois took a trip to Scotland when she was a young adult and she fell in love with the sheep and wool and looms and literally bought looms there and brought them home. And so much yarn and wool. And made it one of her great life hobbies and kept getting bigger and bigger looms.
I have always found it very inspirational how she just decided one day to pick up an expensive hobby and it changed her life.
My mom’s whole family has always been super crafty and artistic (as well as smart! Some of the first females in their chosen career fields in the area) and I grew up crocheting and many other things. But knitting has always been daunting somehow. It just has such a different feel than crocheting which I grew up with. But the loom I decided was going to be my new thing. I just got a tiny little flat one at the craft store to try it out. And I’m just going back and forth with no real pattern or anything.
But my brother is making a big rug/blanket sized loom I can lean on the wall in my room. I don’t have money to buy one, but I figure I’ll do it by hand and standing and all (OnO) and if I still like it even when it’s really hard to do, then it’s worth it and I’ll save to get a nice loom.

I mean...there are loom that make big-ish blankets (approximately wide enough for a twin-size bed) already and aren't that expensive. The one I use the most is about $40, but is available pretty much in all the stores and I can usually get them on sale with my employee discount or with a coupon for closer to $20 and, though a bit cumbersome to use until you're used to it, is actually a pretty manageable size.
Though I suppose knitting loom availability and pricing can vary depending on where you live.

That’s true. I think perhaps her larger looms were actually weaving looms. I think she eventually got into weaving as well. I hardly think there was a craft on this earth she didn’t at least try, she was quite a marvel. Lived to be 100 too, I can only hope to be as great in my life. ^^
I’m liking the loom knitting so far so I think I’ll keep doing and and maybe get more sizes. The craft stores around here are very sewing and jewelry based (I’m guessing because that’s just what sells in the area) so I might end up ordering more online. Or I like to go to independently owned little yarn shops when I find them, and they might have better options. I’m allergic to sheep’s wool though, so usually I don’t find much I can use at smaller shops.

Yeah, most very large looms are for weaving, though they also make small weaving looms. Tbh, I really want to learn weaving, buuuut....I have cats. So it would need to be a smaller, portable weaving loom that I can hide in the closet when not in use so they don't destroy it. Lol.
Awww being allergic to wool must be tough. I do love shopping at the local yarn shops, though the prices are a bit higher than I'd like, the quality of yarn is also much higher and I'll splurge and get stuff for specific projects. I don't hit them too often though just because I can't justify buying "expensive" yarn just for practicing patterns. Do have some that I'm using for shawls though and it's a dream to work with.
If I pare down my yarn stash more, I may save up and have a mini shopping spree just to get some of the gorgeous colors they have. >.>

I would love to get a cat or dog, but my current apartment wont allow pets. Someday I'll have a pet again!
I hardly ever have the money to buy fancy yarn, but I like to when I have the chance. My favorite is probably bamboo yarn, it's so soft! Plus I'm not allergic. But it can be very expensive.
