I definitely think it’s social awkwardness in this case but it has been elevated based on the pandemic and how we’re all currently communicating. In person definitely allowed for more free-flowing communication and different groups could talk at once where zoom everyone’s kind of quiet, doesn’t want to talk over people, so I think she makes very “you go say things now” just to make sure the conversation doesn’t lull.
It’s just sometimes embarrassing for the people getting called on
Granted I can’t really put my head down and not make eye contact like I could with teachers
