Sir Scarz that's pretty spooky. I don't think I'd want to be there. XD

How's your day going, Queen Blaze?

The one from the 9th floor is supposed to be a maid who was killed by her husband who also worked for housekeeping (that happened while I was working here after I started). . .but the one on the 13th floor appears to have been a guest from the old hotel (when this one was built, the old hotel was included in the design). I know several security people that have seen her. . .they say she actually appears to be walking about a foot off the floor and wearing a flowing nightgown.

Many of our Asian maids refused to work that tower and the company actually called in a Shinto priest in an attempt to help her pass to the other side and it seemed to work for about 3 years and then she returned.

All of these hotel/casinos have stories to tell. . .

What happened to the man who didn't pay his exorcist?

His house was repossessed.

I'm doing alright. I've managed to get sick (not covid19, thankfully). Just some other bug that I lovingly gave to my husband. Heart

Work has been absolutely crazy. I don't have any other words to describe it. I need a vacation....oh wait....

I have to say that I appreciate anyone who is out there who is helping. . .from the Doctors and nurses, first responders, but even more so, those who work in the grocery stores and drug stores (even the 7-11's), those that restock everything they can overnight, even though they know that we will come in in the morning and run around the stores like locusts. . .yet, even though people act like animals, the people at the grocery store are still helpful and ready to do it all over again.

I am not sure that most people even have an idea how tough it is for these heroes and heroines.

I am glad that I still have a job, but I am more glad that all of these people are working tirelessly to keep our world turning.

--------
So I was in the supermarket this morning and I had an accident when all the Omega-3 fell on me. . .

I'm ok, the manager assured me my injuries where Super fish oil.
--------
Corona virus has caused our local supermarket to sell out of pasta. . .

All because of a fusilli people.
---------
10 years ago I would've brought home eggs, bread, lunch meat and milk from the supermarket with just $5 in my pocket.

But today they have surveillance cameras everywhere.

I agree with you, Scarz. We are seeing the true essence of the world right now, in the people who are keeping it going in one way or another. I applaud them and their dedication Yes

As I suspected, someone has been adding soil to my garden. The plot thickens

Hi guys, it's been a while.

I've been checking in here and there but didn't have much time to post.

Just to let you know that we're doing ok here in New Zealand. There are only 2 confirmed cases in the region where I live, the majority of the cases is up in the North island which has more population.

The unfortunate bit is that now we have a coworker whose partner has a coworker whose son had just been diagnosed with the virus after spending two weeks with his family here and then returning to the States. We are waiting for information about the father (the coworker of my coworker's partner) who had been tested on Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed.

One of my other coworkers had a panic attack after hearing this news today. She's got a father with damaged lungs after surviving a pretty serious lung infection last year. She ran out of here in tears. So sad.

Other than that and the people who have cleaned out the supermarkets of toilet paper (what is up with that? Confused), New Zealand is a pretty good place to be right now.

Stay calm and stay safe.

We will get through this.

Tis good to hear from thee Professor, I am glad thou art OK, though it doth seem this has hit close to home for thee. . .Your Prime Minister reacted quickly to try to stop the influx of people.

We really are all in this together.

LOL - I actually wish somebody were adding (real) soil to our yard and to our garden - we could use it! ... and mulch... and probably a few other things, but it'll all have to wait until (1) the pollen subsides and (2) I can get materials again (I'm not sure if it's even possible right now with everything being closed - is Home Depot/Lowes even open?)

Lillie! It's good to hear from you Heart I'm sorry to hear you're having a bit of a scare with this bug, but happy to hear you're more-or-less safe.

I have no idea what the deal is with toilet paper... this entire thing is going to be known as "the great toilet paper shortage" Rolling Eyes

Scarz... your jokes... XD

Today at the bank, an old lady asked me to help check her balance. So I pushed her over.

Sir Scarz-I agree with you wholeheartedly! Working in retail isn't easy under the best of circumstances. The people working right now are saints.

I agree with Queen Blaze. The George Michaels one was especially hilarious. XD

Lillie-I'm glad to hear you are doing ok so far. Very Happy I hope all continues to go well.

Queen Blaze-I'm sure Home Depot is still open. We don't have one near where I live, but we do have a Lowe's, they're still open as far as I know. Walmart is still open and they're selling garden stuff too.

I know what you mean about the TP. I saw on the news this morning and Anheuser Busch is making hand sanitizer. I told my mom I wanted five bottles. One to keep and four to sell later on. I think they'll be worth money someday. People will say, "Remember that time Anheuser Busch had to make hand sanitizer instead of beer?" XD

I'm actually excited! The pollen here has been horrendous, and I've been taking over the counter meds for allergies since January. However, I haven't taken any the last couple of days and I actually walked the dogs with Zukyun last night, with relatively minor allergy symptoms... so the end of pollen season (for me) is near!!

*chuckles* It seems like at least one of our building's ghost may have shown up last night, I got a call from security and one of the doors to one of our conference rooms kept opening and closing. . .when security went over there, the door was locked. . .we sent an engineer over to check the door and the same thing the door was locked. . .after the doors were checked, security dispatch said the door opened and closed a few more times. . .it makes me wonder if all the ghosts might have been in the conference room having a party . . . so strange things are happening
