Do you ever have one of those days where nothing goes as it should?

Yesterday, we had today all worked out. Parents were sorted, nieces were sorted and I was sorted. Do you think it worked out that way? No, not today!

So, late last night, my mum was in a huge amount of pain, crippling pain. It was when dad called the ambulance that I came out of my room to find out what the hell was going on. So, while dad is running around doing things, I get semi dressed, just in case someone was needed to go with her. After that, I went about helping mum out where needed, got a chair for her to sit on after her being on the toilet and then got her slippers on and started to mop her forehead and face because she was clammy. The ambulance showed up, no lights and sirens, but I heard them thanks to their squeaky breaks and sent dad off because I was boxed in supporting mum. Paramedics came in and two very lovely guys came in and started to work on her. She was eventually taken to hospital after midnight. I stayed awake until about 3am when I passed out, woke up around 9:30am to find dad gone and a note saying that he had gone to the hospital about 15 minutes earlier. 15 minutes later however, the hospital called and said that mum requested a few items, so I got those together, along with a couple of things mum hadn't thought of, and left for the hospital. I got there and dropped the things off, chatted with mum for a bit before the nurses came along to give her medication and to let her know that they would be taking her away for an ultrasound. I leave, catch two buses to get home and while on my way home, my oldest niece calls to find out where I am because no one picked her up and no one was at home to let her in. So she hung out on the front step for me to get home and let her in. Dad had gone to his specialist appointment and had wanted me to go along to translate, but because I wasn't home, that didn't happen. Brother comes home and has to leave again to pick up his youngest from school, they come back and leave again, with the oldest one hanging around until the other grandma came to pick her up and take her to her work placement. I've packed mum a bag for her sleep machine and then some extra underwear and pjs and a change of clothes and whatever her medications are.

So...today didn't go as planned. Tomorrow should be a bit more interesting. Dad has an appointment, mum is going to still be in hospital and then there are two girls. I think the other grandma is going to be dealing with them. But I should be at home all day...like it was planned.

Days like that are never fun and always chaotic, Bo. I'm sorry to hear that your family is going through this and hope your mom starts feeling better soon! Heart

Mum got out today, no answers really, but at least she isn't in a scary amount of pain. Hopefully we can find out what is causing the issue with a few more tests and either fix it or manage it.

Nothing going as planned seems to be the theme of September >_< I sincerely hope that it was only a one time flare up and she never has to go through that again.

She has been through it once before, about 20 years ago, but I have no memory of it. She does get wind pain, but nowhere near as bad as what she was Sunday night Monday morning. Even Monday night, when the majority of her children, plus two annoying teenagers aka her granddaughters, showed up, she was looking much better and had the colour coming back into her face.

Just glad she is home really...
