At some point I'd like to learn to use a sewing machine. Right now I sew by hand, every now and then. Usually only zippers and linings to coin pouches I knit. My latest one:

The only item I've made by hand sewing was a pillow as a home ec project ages ago, which I gave to my brother as a gift.. and I regret it, because it was super cool. A yellow & green surfboard with black foot prints on it.

That is really pretty Quiet. ^^ I like how you put it on the fury rug. XD

Yeah sewing machines can be nice but a pain in the rear at times as well.

That pillow sounds really nifty. :3

Ah, yeah the furry rug is my prop for most of my photos.
I loves it.

I can imagine they can be a pin sometimes. Even handstitching can be infuriating.
/is currently hiding from a sewing project because it is hating me.

:3 It makes for a nice prop. It doesn't take away from the details. Smile

Oh gosh yeah, hand stitching is a pain the the rear sometimes. I'll share my wig here I suppose because i did sew the antlers into it.
Linking because it is just a bit too big. It also has ears between into it as well, but those are hard t see at this angle.

That looks so awesome!

I found a locally owned fabric store last week through googling and I stopped by it yesterday and bought a lot of fabric; at least a lot more than I was expecting to. My SO is a big enabler.

Very Happy Thank you very much. Yeah antlers are pose-able so that I ca have them point a different way if I would like. But I haven't tried to bend then any other way yet. lol

That is really cool that you found an awesome local fabric shop. ^^ I am always looking for fabrics and since scraps to be able to do things with. Very Happy

Those are really cute fabrics!

I'm very out of practice when it comes to sewing. When I was little I used to hand sew pillows for my dolls and stuffed animals. My mom was very good at sewing and would make me dresses and Halloween outfits.

Sometime last year, someone was giving away a sewing machine so my hubby grabbed it for me. I played with it a bit, but really need to learn more.

Totally going to revive this, anyone still into sewing? I've currently been busy making some Christmas gifts, but haven't taken the time yet to make pretty pictures (only crappy-evening-phone-snapshots)

Love the projects that were posted above! Smile

Hey Jodelien! I'm still into it - just haven't had much time to do it or anything else. Razz

What gifts have you made so far? :3
