Thematically, they are not my thing. They are, however, shaded much better than some of the more recent things. I'd also like to say the horses are very well done structurally.
Of what is presented for this month's Dis, I'd say the Armors need the most work. The tops on the Gryffe & Glendor knight are really flat in places which doesn't help. Texture is cool if done right, but it can't take the place of shading. That said, I think it's just that the artist needs to practice and learn more.
