Caleb walked in without a word, giving Aaron a chill. He sat down and looked at the food, then raised an eyebrow. "Pretty fancy."
"I know..." Aaron let out all his tension in a bit of self pity.
"Hope you can fight as well as you can cook." Caleb said.
"Fight?" Aaron thought about it, and tried to think about how well he'd fare in a fight. Of course, he wouldn't know unless he actually fought.

Victoria joined her crew after Caleb entered. She heard everyone's comments, so she didn't critizise the food. She waited for the rest of her crew to come in before they could eat.

Lilly looked at everyone, then started eating. She didn't care about blessings or manners. It was one thing she'd always been lectured on at home, even when she had tried to go along with the rules.
Lilly was just sort of rules optional.
She stuffed the food in her mouth quickly, barely even tasting it. Swallowing half of the contents of her mouth and speaking around the other half, she starting talking just to make conversation. "Saw a ra' in eh quar'rs," She said, knowing that they probably couldn't understand her. She swallowed the last of her food. "'N he bit me."

"A RAT bit you?" Aaron asked, following manners quite well, not even giving t thought.
Caleb was over his food, eating, when he heard the conversation start. "It's dead now." He said, as if he thought that would assure anyone from panic.
"Have you gotten that checked out? That rat could be diseased."

"Calm down Aaron. Do you really think a scallywag, pirate, gentleman of fortune will be allowed into a hospital? And even if we were soon after we'd be on trail and hung til our legs stop kicking. Lilly will be fine. Our doctor will take care of it." Arturious says swallowing his food first. He made an odd sign with his hands over his food before he began to eat.

"I guess you're right..." Aaron replied, and noticed the sign he made over his food. He wanted to ask about it, but just found himself watching. What did the sign mean? It was pretty peculiar, and Aaron found that he couldn't let it go.

Jessie stumbled into the kitchen. The floor decided to not let her walk in calmly like she had planned. Everyone seemed to be there. She wasn't very hungry, but she wasn't one to skip meals. She over heard the bit about someone getting bitten by a rat. "What?! Who was bitten?" Jessie was the surgeon on the ship. She should have been around. She knew it had been a bad idea to disappear for so long. She silently scolded herself as she made her way over to the others.

"Twas our Lilly that was bit by a rat. A fat old rat that no longer has a tail. Thanks to Caleb silent and deadly. Spelt quick death for poor fat ratty." Arturious says smiling at the pun he had made of the situation.

Any other time and Jessie would have smiled or even laughed, but she took her job seriously. She made her way over to Lily. She looked at the girl for moment before she spoke. "Best let me look at that." It wasn't really an order, but it wasn't a request either.

Aaron laughed, he had never heard something like that out of the blue before. "You're quite the poet," he complimented to Arturious.
Caleb didn't utter a word. It wasn't the first time that he was mentioned in one of Arturious little proses.

Oh to her I doth run yet never closer do I seem to get. Caleb, still no approval of my rhymes?" Arturious changes tone quickly enough to leave ones head spinning.

Aaron was entranced by the rhymes, but when Caleb was mentioned, he looked over at the man in question. "I've yet to hear any poem that I liked." He replied. To a newcomer like Aaron, it sounded rude, but to the crew that was so used to Caleb's cold and straightforward critisizm, it was nothing new.
((Perhaps we should set sail soon? Or are we waiting for something?))

Aaron watched the two of them back and forth, then stood up to take the empty plates. "Is everyone finished? I prepared a dessert for everyone."
Caleb raised an eyebrow. "Dessert? Are you serious?"
"Ah... Yes?" Aaron said, now not so sure. "Y-you still do three course meals, don't you?"
Caleb looked to the others, finding he couldn't answer a question he felt was so stupid.

"Most people here have probably only ever heard of a three course meal and at most destroyed one in a raid. But never had one made for them. Eat what you can, when you can, if you can." Arturious responds to Aaron, realizing that it's going to take alot of work to break him into being a pirate.
