ALL SHE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT IS HOW CLEARING TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES IS THE MOST MAGICAL THING THAT KEEPS HER PC FROM THE NINETIES IN TIP-TOP SHAPE. SHE TALKS ABOUT IT FOR HOURS.

True story. I love her dearly, but she is not so much fun to talk to. I can do it in person, but over the phone it's awful!!!

...I sound like a horrible person XD

haha sounds like my grandpa on my moms side. He is VERY old fashioned, and I mean in the sense that he is racist, sexist, and has a backwards way of thinking. His views have not changed with the decades unfortunately so it is cringe-worthy whenever he calls the house.

There was one time my mom had to use the bathroom so she handed me the phone and ran saying all I had to do was answer with one word responses. He never knew it was me, and I didn't even pay attention (Playing PC games while he was talking).

I love my G-paw to death but arguing or giving your opinion with him will start WW3

She's pretty tolerant... it's just that her life revolves around EBay and Yahoo Messenger! She's adorable, we just don't have a lot in common.

My husband's grandmother, though! WHOOO-EEEEE. I think she is hilarious and we all love her, but she is almost a caricature of a hateful old racist woman. Suuuuper super old, so you *kind of* have to excuse her ways due to her age, but she says some hateful things! Our wedding party had *gasp* three of our black friends and she scowled through the whole event. She has also insulted her other "mixed race" step-grandchildren. She sounds pretty bad, but honestly it's so extreme that you have to laugh her off. And she haaaaates me because of my various hairstyles and tattoos.

If Rhetts grandma is single she would go perfect with my mothers grandpa.

I can see them both insulting black people, us, tattoos, how corrupt the world went, until the sun goes down.

The thing about my grandpa as well is he is well in his 80's and as my mom puts it "too stubborn to die". He was hit with the flu, bronchitis, and pneumonia, all at the same time. He was rushed to the hospital in a coma for a couple of weeks. The doctors told my uncle that the family needs to say goodbye. That was a few years ago.

Then a little more recently, he became even more ill and the doctors said this might be it so say goodbye. He recovered well and is back at his apartment shopping on Ebay. XD

The sound like soulmates! She goes to the doctor for some new test about once a week and is in her early eighties. She's just so grumpy!!

My grandpa is like the rest of my family on my moms side, we all hate going to the doctors unless its absolutely necessary. It is very scary when there are family members we have never met with the same mentality, but I cannot help but feel proud too. XD

Haha Tisiel if you only heard half the conversations and comments the oldies say.

Old people! They're ridiculous!

Also, babies are a lot like old people. My son just proudly brought me a handful of cat food.

Thanks, kiddo. Mommy was hungry!

Better than what my son used to do when he was a toddler! He used to make off with the cat bowl and eat it himself! Razz

Ok, C'mon people!! Fabulous art being auctioned here!

Oh wait, Pagan outbid me, didn't she? What's a gem worth these days? Confused

No idea. Sorry I haven't been by, you might want to continue without me, I've been crazy busy. I will get a pic to you as soon as possible, but I don't have one on my computer at the moment, and it's a whole thing that I have to gear myself up for. Especially since there should be one on here. I'd like to know why there isn't. Darn pixies.

As far as the old people thing goes, you still have it better than I did with my grandfather. He used to answer the phone without his hearing aid in. I'd have to scream at him, and sometimes he still couldn't make out what I was saying, and I couldn't just hang up on him because he was my grandpa and you don't do that. He tried to claim that mine was the only voice he couldn't hear, but one time he handed me the phone and said that it was his neighbor from across the street, find out what he wanted. Turned out it was a telemarketer. Laughing

Yeah, Pagan did outbid you, but it's a bit dependent on what exactly she would want drawn, as I am horrible at realistic likeness!

My son does that, Tisi! The boy gets into EVERYTHING but he is so darn cute he gets away with it!

Ok, so it looks like there's a gem on the market for 100k, And the price guide's highest point is 130k, so I'll bump up to 150k. Very Happy

The good thing about our sons, is they do eventually grow out of it. Eventually. >___>

Though as I say that, I know for a fact that if someone dared my son to eat cat food, he would without hesitation. Boys, I tell ya! Rolling Eyes XD Heart

Kids can be really creepy like that! Shocked

Actually, have you ever done a search for "creepy things kids have said"? I stumbled across such a link on Pinterest and made the mistake of checking it out... BE WARNED - Some of the stuff is downright disturbing (assuming it's true), so don't go looking for it unless you really want to be scared of kids for the rest of your life! Razz
