Where most of the time we didn't buy second hand it wasn't like we didn't buy second hand ether. Both my parents are big on picking up old furniture or fixtures. The first time I got into knitting my supplies came from a second hand store. Most of my crochet hooks and yarn is second hand from family.
I'm sure some of my TY stuffed animals are second hand too.

I know most of my TYs came hand second cause my aunt would pick them up at auctions and we had to get Legs second hand cause he was a more rarer TY to find.
Only discontinued TY I didn't purchase second hand was the beanie kid Princess. After finding out she had been discontinued, we had went to the mall and stopped in a store to look. In a pile of Angels, I had spotted a different color haired kid and behold, the store still had a Princess left. My dad wasn't going to get her but my mom was like, she's been looking for that one since we returned back so in the end, she came mine. She was put in storage with my legs and two rare TY cats. I still have the outfit she wore when I got her too.
Only items I refused at first to purchase second hand was my pokemon/yu_gi_oh cards. I even bought a lava lamp second hand. These days, most of my items come second hand if they are not passed down from someone in my family.

I bought a lot of pokemon cards but most of them where also passed down from someone.

my family was allways giving us hand me downs becasue i was one of the smaller children in the family. so I never ran out of cloths. and not it's the same way, I get all the hand me downs for my little girl. plus, what ever she grows out of goes rigth to somebody ewlse. same with un used toys. the get donated to someone else who will use them.

I usually handed my clothes down to my younger cousins, same with toys. But now their taste is different so my clothes don't interest them so I give to the local charity shops now.

Yeah. My ex husband used to hate the fact that we got hand me downs. and it drove me nut, because like, really, who doesn't like free things.

I'm stuck in finals week and my school is frustrating the hell out of me. But till Thursday things have calmed down so I'm happy.

Wow that's crazy
I'm going through a crazy time as well :/
I'm stressed and everyone is yelling and everything just sucks
my brother bought a stolen laptop and is being charged for theft.

It will be a mess but I doubt he will go to jail unless no other laptops show up. Even then it isn't a grantee.
