You walk hesitantly through a dark alley with the moon high above, barely lighting your path. Upon the wall, a scroll is fastened. You begin to read the text aloud as it is written,
'Call forth her name-
The spectre, the phantom.
Xarlota, Xarlota, Xarlota.
Let her see your dark-
And you shall, the same.'
Xarlota steps forth from the shadows after you call her name and begins speaking, "My name is Xarlota. I have sailed the seas of Zantarni with a grimy swashbuckling crew, and mastered the dark arts. I have lived for one hundred and twenty years or more and seen many a ghastly thing." She pauses, grasping her wand and pointing it to you.
"If you wish to be on my good graces, pledge loyalty to the Dark Arts. We all have our dark side, why not embrace it? Send an owl with your name, and perhaps fortune will follow." Her figure begins to turn to smoke, and eventually her presence is no more than the shadows of which you are surrounded.
"My laws are indisputable." She grimaces, "Do not cross me."

Xarlota's sheepish grin grows eerie and dominating as a tendril from the shadows surrounds her and Lady Keres. In and instant, she is gone, and Lady Keres is alone again in the dark alley.
A whisp of air carries a dark, seductive voice:
"Now, go forth and beware the path which crosses the cunning of the despicable Agent Xarxes"

Xarlota's body feels much more loose and spry this time of year. Her powers begin to grow, and she feels it. Upon embracing the empowering feeling of darkness, she hears Keres' voice.
I am doing well on this day, and can feel my power has grown.
