The world as everyone had known it was beginning to come to an end, all the races humans had believed only fairy tale were now taking over their realm. All creatures of lore and nightmarish creation were now walking amongst the humans unhidden.

It was a war that had raged secretly for many thousands of years, and now it had broken out into our reality.
However, of course, their kind had existed among the humans for centuries, perhaps longer. Hidden amongst the humans they lived in peace with them, attempting to hide from his horrible war. For a long while, it had worked. Then it happened; Two races never meant to be, were joined in marriage. A vampire, and an angel.

The two were killed at the wedding and thus the war was born, but whose side will you choose? Will you favor those whom care not what the differences are to love? Or will you choose those who believe in the perfect breed of their species?

Sides:

Pure. ( The ones who believe that no race should co-mingle. )
Undecided.
Free. ( The ones who do not believe appearance and differences should matter. )

~~~~~
The OOC Thread.
~~~~~

This is a fantasy roleplay where violence and romance alike are allowed. Just be sure to keep it under Zantarni rules and we'll do just fine.

However I have a few rules of my own:

1. Post at least four lines per post.
2. No chat speak when in character, out of character is fine. Make sure you make a difference in posting these two ways.
3. No god moding or such rot, it's just annoying.
( Other such rot includes: Having a completely indestructible character, Instant death to another member of the roleplay, or just being a complete idiot. )

I apologize but I am no longer accepting Female characters.

Female Characters:

Username: Tohya.
Name: Kousara Vex.
Age: Appears to be the age of eighteen or so.
Gender: Female.
Race: Vampiric hybrid. ( Angel, Demon, Vampire. )
Side: Undecided.
Abilities: Powers of the mind and control of elements, deft with daggers and poisons. Transformation.
Weapons: Many hidden enchanted daggers and knives throughout her person.
Bio: A child born of forbidden love and struck by ill fortune at a young age.
Kousara grew up in the human realm in the forests where her parents had a lovely little cottage and orchards of fruits. One night, her mother had asked her to fetch some of the oranges and apples from the trees just outside the house, and Kousara did so. A horrible cry rang through the air as the young girl exited the cottage, and fearful she turned back to find both of her parents slain. The attackers feeding on the bodies hungrily, and what appeared to have been their leader approached the girl intently. He spoke in a long lost language which she could not understand, and the next thing she remembered was darkness.
Description: Pale in complexion her appearance seemed to be after a Japanese style, of a sort. Turned modern, of course. Polished black wood geta with only one tall slat to support her standing, and satin red straps adorned her feet. Around her left leg an odd figure which seemed like a snake, or a dragon writhed its way up her leg towards her thigh, odd inscriptions writ throughout it in random areas. Silvery bangles and anklets jingled lightly and emanated forth an evil black aura. A long, silken kimono flowed out behind her, but never seemed to tatter or wear. Her sleeves were long and reached towards her knees. The colorations mainly black with crimson trim. Embroidered upon the back of said kimono was something that resembled a tiger striking around a japanese writing. Under said kimono was an all black one piece leather outfit that corsetted in the back. In the front of the kimono a beautiful silken Obi was tied in a giant bow, for easy removal should she need to fight. Almond shaped eyes were pupiless and colored as pale silver as the moon, dark kohl lining them all 'round. They gave off their own slight glow.
Other: Kousara speaks very rarely unless annoyed by someone. One usually thinks she is just ignoring them, but when she does speak it is usually a snippity remark or something that no one can argue.

Username: CrystalMind
Name: Senka Jhalmir
Age: 238 (appears 30)
Gender: Female
Race: Elf
Side: Undecided
Abilities: Mechanical inclinations, good with close combat. Is capable of minor enchantments, but it's not her specialty.
Weapons: Senka can use a bow, but she only carries it when on border duty, generally preferring close combat with a dagger or her fists.

Bio: Senka grew up in the hidden forests of Caldemar with her mother and father, Lastadeth and Isandel. They were rather average citizens of the domain, and so Senka was given a good education. As a child, her wild escapades worried her parents to no end, but her spontaneity was tempered as she grew older by a growing love of working things. She spent her adolescent years tinkering and experimenting with ways of making her chores easier, gradually withdrawing from the people around her in favor of working on her own ideas. What started as a way to pass the time became a way to give back to her community as she designed traps and signal mechanisms for use on the border. Upon adulthood, she took a job as a scout and occasional border guard, fueling her love for adventure as well as her desire to test her projects in the field.

Description: Senka stands at roughly 5 feet 10 inches in height. She is much wider at the shoulder than at the hip, and her waist is slightly indented, giving the impression of extremely broad shoulders relative to her waist and narrow hips. Her eyes are a pale grey color, set beneath smoothly arched eyebrows in a square face. Her skin is slightly tanned, and her ears taper to a fine point. She wears her auburn hair mostly down with the exception of the front layers, which are tied back to keep them out of her face. The remainder trails down her back to just below her shoulders.

Other: See my profile (Senka is the second character listed.)

Username: Benevolent Rose.
Name: Irene
Age: 25
Gender: female
Race: elf
Side: undecided
Abilities: Fast runner, has an incredibly high pain tolerance, a perfect spy or assassin, best long range.
Weapons: A bow and arrows, with a magic trait to them which will be revealed. A dagger usually used to create arrows, but can also be used for short range fighting.

Bio: Irene has a very unknown past. However, there is a myth about a hidden being called the Phantom Bandit, whom was a bounty hunter, and a hired hand. No one ever saw their face, and the reason for their name was the magic quality of their bow and arrows. The Phantom Bandit is believed to be dead.

Description: Irene.

Other: Irene has the compulsive need to often say, 'Ah.' in the beginning of many of her sentences. The reason is unknown, if there even is a reason.

~~~~~
Male Characters:
Username: Cheshire Delusion.
Name: Cheshire Delusion
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Race: Cat'Sun
Side: Free
Abilities: Inexplicable agility and reflexes, limited time manipulation, invisibility, confusion
Weapons: Two curved, serrated katana, one black and one polished; Sharpened claws on hands and feet
Bio: For as long as he could remember, he was raised as an orphan by a small village of cat'sun. No one family adopted him as their own; instead he lived with everyone and no one. He helped the village like every other resident and pulled his weight. He grew up with the village until he was eighteen years of age.
A couple months after his "birthday", he was out foraging until he saw billows of black smoke coming from the direction of the village. He dropped all that he was doing and ran as fast as he possibly could through the thick brush of the jungle. He had arrived just in time to see the last of the villagers brutally murdered by the competing cat'sun village's warriors. They noticed him as soon as he stumbled into the village and stood to watch his reaction. The orphan's eyes widen in shock at the burning houses, piles of dead bodies that had once belonged to the villagers he grew up with, and at the blood-soaked warriors now approaching.
Something inside the orphan snaps as his face is contorted into a wickedly sick-looking tooth-bearing grin as he begins to laugh. The warriors look at one another, puzzled at this odd behavior for a moment, then shrug it off and approach the orphan again only to find that he was no longer where they previously had seen him. The maniacal laughter continues and sounds as if it is coming from all directions. One warrior feels a claw tap him on the back and a chill run up his spine; he turns quickly to see nothing there and thus spins around, panicked, to see the mangled, dead bodies of his fellow warriors who had been slain silently.
Fear fully driven into the warrior's skull and face drained of blood, he makes a mad dash for his home village. Constantly tripping over roots and brush, he makes it back to the village completely beaten by the jungle. He warns the village of a "delusional" 'sun with "the grin of the Cheshire" that had killed off all but him. A strange voice cuts him short of his warning to his village.
"Hmm... A Cheshire Delusion... I like the sound of that..." he cackles, seeing all the village pale in his sight, "'T'is a pity that you all had missed the show at my village... Perhaps another performance is due here tonight!"
In ten minutes time, the orphan had taken the life of every man in the village, despite their age. He leaves the women and children to clean up both villages or to find new homes for themselves. After leaving the survivors traumatized, he departs for places unknown, following his own path. He is not seen publicly for many years, but whispers from the survivors of the village carried the name "Cheshire Delusion" far and wide and described him a vicious monster that finds happiness only when he kills.
Abilities: Minor fire manipulation, enhances strength, speed, agility, eyesight and hearing
Weapons: Barbed whip, long sword and a multitude of daggers and knives
Bio: Chase, or Hektme as he was originally known as was a powerful demon that had gotten ahead of himself, thinking he could rival the gods, both those of the light and the darkness. Believing he was above reproach and challenge he committed several unforgivable crimes against the races, when he was finally caught, the more powerful beings, earthbound, heavenly and hellish punished him, reducing his abilities to a small amount, capping the strength of them as well, they also condemmed him to spend the rest of his long existance in their joint servitude in the body of a human, moving from one races service to another every century, fulfilling any and all tasks given to him, no matter how evil or repusively good the tasks were. He is currently in the servitude of the angel race
Description: Chase is a bitter and twisted demon, with no real ties or experiance of the warmer bonds that can be created between people, though he does have a soft spot for white chocolate and given enough of it he would either leave that person alone or kill them in a less painful manner than what they would have been killed in. He is wary of any being other than humans, knowing full well that sooner or later he would be serving that, in his opinion, pitiful and disgusting race
Weapons: Bow and Arrows. His bow is made of white ivory and his arrows made of pure light or pure darkness. When he is using an arrow made of light, it can heal the spot it hits. Used for long distance healing. When using a shadow arrow, it can prove to be deadly. The shadows are poisonous to almost all beings.
Bio: Noah grew up with his pure-blooded father after his mother died. After she died, the light in their family was faint and Noah's father became a bitter rebel. Over so many years of being exposed to his bitterness, it rubbed off on him. Despite his looks, Noah is anything but nice or generous. He is a bitter and unpleasant person. He enjoys taking advantage of pure-blooded angelic women when they are weak. When people get to know him, they are shocked he hasn't cut off his wings or tainted them black by now, for he isn't pure-of-heart in the slightest.
Description: Noah
Other: Being an angel, he does have a deep rooted desire for love, but it has been covered up over the years with bitterness and lust.
( The first post will be somewhat long to give a nice descriptive of the area currently surrounding. )
In the distance the sun was setting turning the sky into a cascade of tangerine and sanguine hues. Leafless trees and a few amethyst colored clouds were all that obscured the horizon from being one clear view.
Few humans were walking the street at this hour, because they knew it was when the more sinister of creatures began emerging from their sleep. The few that did seemed to scurry along like little roaches under the tall street lights that were now flickering slowly on, one by one. A few vampires here and there, a couple of demons, some fallen angels. They were what was now amongst the human kind, all grinning sinisterly and taunting the humans.
Kousara was sauntering casually as she always had, not really caring for the humans or the other creatures period. A few stars began to fleck the sky and she grinned, turning a corner on the street to see old buildings that were seemingly abandoned. Windows were boarded up, old wrought iron fences seemed nothing but rust anymore. The buildings appeared as though they were ready to crumble into nothingness at any given moment. It was the slums she'd come to know rather well, it was her feeding ground.
There was only one building in the entirety of the slums that even had lights that worked, or that were ever on. It was a club that the creatures of myth had created long before the war had broken free into the human realm. It was unnamed, but everyone knew what it was and what lay inside.
The vampiress strode inside the club without a second thought and smiled at the welcoming black light, and red strobes alike. The floor was covered in mist from hidden fog machines that were hidden somewhere amongst the ceiling, along with speakers that were blasting down bass from the industrial music currently playing. The walls were covered in mirrors towards the top, and then lined with black light paintings of demons, eyes, and other various symbols and garble.
To the front of Kousara was the bar, the stools just appeared to be black pillars that rose out of the mist. The bar counter top seemed to be made out of a thick slab of clear crystal, set atop a hollowed out cherry wood counter which had red lights within its belly. An entire selection of drinks was at the bartenders disposal, from blood to water.
Pleased, Kousara took a seat on a stool and ordered vodka spiked with blood on ice. It was something she rarely had, and usually only because something was troubling her.
Chase could feel the bar and the alcohol behind it beckoning him, the one good thing about being trapped in this awful form was that he could get completely and blissfully drunk until he managed to pass out, which seemed to be the most preferable fate concidering his task for the night, which unfortunately was escorting a young angel, who was quite detirmined to try and tease him with her very little alure while trying to lure him into dancing with her, rather than playing the bodyguard for the night, which while the job may be distastful he would do just that for the next century rather than play boyfriend to the over spoilt girl that was practicing her sexual prowess on him.
Grabbing her wrist almost painfully he dragged the little 'princess' to the bar, ignoring any other patrons at the large piece of wood and crystal, ordering her a bottle of water and himself several shots of some violent green liquid, hoping it would atleast take away some of his misery and the rapidly forming headache from hearing the high pitched whine of his charge.
The vampire looked out of the corner of her eye at the spunky little angel and the new comer who'd ordered some horrible looking green concoction that smelled quite odd, yet somewhat pleasant in its own unappealing way. Obvious signs of mirth crossed her face as fangs appeared into a smile, a slender hand picking up her own glass. Pulling it to her lips she downed the mixed liquid and began to suck on an ice cube, holding it between her index finger and thumb. "She's a noisy little thing." Her voice came softly, but loud enough for the demon to catch. Her gaze had already been turned back to the bar tender for awhile, and she waved her glass once she'd caught his attention.
Another glass was set in front of the now lounging Kousara, her back turned to the bar completely. Elbows rested against the cool crystaline counter top, her head leaned slightly back as she relaxed for a moment. Lifting her head slowly she looked out into the dance floor and smiled to herself, 'Tonight will be great to feed.' the thought was quick and pleasant through her mind.
Good ole Cheshire has been at the club since dusk broke the horizon. I guess you could call it his "haunt" since he is present on a regular basis. The owners don't mind, since he is always the first on the dance floor and the first to get the other creatures to dancing. More dancing means more thirsty beings, and that means more drinks served.
Tonight is much like any other night for the grinning cat'sun; always dancing and showing off his various abilities. A cackle of delight issues from his throat as he weaves in and out of the dancing folk, dancing enthusiastically on his hands. His dark blue tail circles around whimsically, creating various designs of awe and wonder in the fog that the hidden machines make. His usually snow-white hair glows an interesting shade of violet from the black lights and combined with the peculiar motion of his head makes it seem as if his hair is streaking all over the place.
As he is making a full rotation in a dance step, his eyes come across Chase and the princess. Cheshire makes a quick decision in his head to not bother the none-too-pleased looking demon and his nasty looking shots and instead turns to Kousara who is facing the dance floor. He nimbly jumps up to his feet without a sound and approaches her with his usual toothy grin.
"Do my eyes deceive me... Someone relaxed at THIS noisy club? Are you sure you be in the right place?" He slowly extends a hand but looks careful all the same, "You should come and enjoy the dance floor. It is a great way to loosen up and enjoy yourself, that is is!"
Senka crouched atop a small hill overlooking the town, her pale gray eyes narrowed in concentration. Behind her, the sky was set aflame by the fading sun, casting long, dark shadows before her. A cool breeze sent leafless branches rustling in the dusk, and the elf listened to their whispered secrets.
The breeze passed, and Senka stood, her face expressionless as she slunk through the deepening shadows towards the town. It was her newest vice, she noted as she passed under the street lamps, but the humans were actually quite fascinating. Their technology especially intrigued her. Much of it operated on the same principles she had worked out in her youth, but on a much larger scale than she had ever been able to attempt. She stopped to run her hand along the smooth steel casing of a street lamp. Yes, far greater. The elf continued on.
She was a long way from her home in the forests of Caldemar, but she was not without purpose. Her forays into the human cities and villages would allow her to access the general sentiment regarding her kind-- which had not been overwhelmingly pleasant thus far --as well as allowing her to study the same in other races.
The fact that she should have remained hidden didn't come into it at all.
She walked with her head held high, her dark cloak swirling about her ankles. Her hood was down, exposing her sculpted features and pointed ears for anyone to see. In the alleys around her Senka could sense other beings making their way to feed or congregate. The majority seemed to be heading to a particular location, and Senka allowed her feet to follow.
The dark evil of the Demons, the twisted and broken 'innocence' of Fallen Angels, the feral madness of the Weres, and the cold, lifeless sense of the Vampires brushed against her senses, sending a cold chill of excitement racing up her spine to tingle at the base of her skull before racing back down again.
Eventually Senka's feet led her to an odd club. Even from outside she could feel the throb of the bass beneath her feet. With a smile quirking at the corners of her mouth the elf slipped inside.
Fog swirled around her feet as she made her way to the crystal and wood bar to order a kind of sweet nectar that her people used in lieu of ale or beer. Wine was always appreciated, but Senka had quickly realized that none of the wines outside of Caldemar tasted quite right, and decided to stick with Kahrt'il Nectar.
Kousara glanced over at Senka and flashed a grin towards the elven female, fangs glinting slightly in the dim and quite wild lighting. The vampire's eyes seemed to catch light at times, and reflect it back out into the darkness. A soft chuckle escaped the vampiress' lips as she looked over the figure before her, 'Quite a strange one.' she thought to herself.
Turning halfway to grab her second glass, she held it gingerly between her index finger and thumb and swallowed it down as well. Tenderly she set the glass on the counter and looked to the creature in front of her, he looked almost crazed or something along the lines of insane. "An interesting character, aren't you?" she said softly, her eyes narrowed to slight slits, but the expression upon her face full of mirth.
Senka felt a thrill of excitement race along her spine as one of the vampires flashed her a grin. Glancing up at the mirrored lining of the wall near the ceiling she noted that a number of the club's patrons did not appear in the reflective surfaces.
Feeling a smile twitch at her lips, Senka took a seat and sipped her drink, savoring the sweet flavor on her tongue. The bartender had looked at her oddly when she'd placed the order, but he had brought it to her all the same.
Taking another sip of the nectar, Senka felt herself relax for the first time in days. It was almost funny that she would find comfort here off all places, surrounded by potentially hostile creatures.
That 'potentially' of course made all the difference. The flashing lights and heavy beat made this place surreal, and Senka found her gaze drawn again to the vampire female, who seemed to be under proposition by an unfamiliar creature. The elf shrugged and let her gaze continue to wander.
The strange anthropomorphic Cheshire cat withdraws his hand slowly from the grumpy vampiress and dismisses her with a couple flicks of his wrist, stating in a casual tone, "Creatures such as yourself should learn to lighten up a bit an' enjoy the dance floor. There is not a thing better for the body, mind, and heart than to relieve yourself in dance. Or perhaps it is creatures such as yourself that have a fear of such things, I cannot tell."
He finishes his small statement with a wink and a lick of his lips. His attention cannot help but to wander over to the whining princess and the demon that seems to be in charge of her. Cheshire makes his way over to the two, the fog of the machines curling around his body in reaction to his strange aura. Cheshire casually leans with his back against the crystal and wood bar, the colors of the many lights and lasers creating dazzling and mystical effects within the crystal. The odd creature takes pity in the young girls and finds it upon himself to talk to the grim-looking creating drinking what Cheshire would call radioactive ooze.
"You there! Grouchy-looking fellow drinking shots of snot." he beckons in a carefree manner seemingly only bestowed to a creature as demented as himself, "Why would you torture a beautiful young creature such as her by bringing her to this club and not allowing her to join the dance? The only way out is through the front doors over yonder, of which I am sure you are capable of watching quite competently. I pray you consider what I have said so that neither of us have to endure her squeals of protest again tonight."
He makes a motion as if he were tipping an nonexistent hat toward the angel and turns his attention to the elf-maid sitting nearby, and calls to her. "You seem to be in better spirits than the two rather grouchy and un-fun creatures that I have wasted my breath on tonight." he says with still a grin and an upbeat tone, "Perhaps you would take me up on an offer to join me with the other creatures of the night under the smoke, fog, and lasers of the dance floor." he says with his eyes looking happy and hopeful and his creepy grin never-changing.
Senka watched in some amusement as the strange cat-creature made his way over to a gruff man-who-didn't-feel-like-a-man and a loudly whining angel 'princess'. The elf winced slightly at her shrill tones. 'Light' though the creature may have been, it was certainly not someone she wanted to associate with.
The cat-creature evidently got bored rather quickly, though, and turned to face her. He called out, his creepy grin seeming to be firmly planted on his face, and she considered his offer for only a moment before knocking back the rest of her drink and standing. She hadn't heard of this creature before, and it was well within her mission parameters to investigate strange beings.
It couldn't hurt to have a little fun in the process.
One creature in particular caught Kousara's interest, he seemed a lonely human sitting in the corner of the club far back from everyone else. "How strange." she said to herself in almost a whisper. Standing up she grinned to the Cheshire and moved past him, seeming to glide across the floor as she walked.
When the vampire had come across the room the human had taken notice in her and she smiled, 'He looks, delicious.' she thought to herself as she began to seduce her poor prey. One thing about Kousara's eyes towards humans, was that they were almost completely irresistable.
Soon after, and just as she had thought, the human fell into charms.
After having fed from the boy, she moved back to the bar and sighed happily, content. She hadn't killed him, only taken enough to sustain herself. Her fangs sank back into human appearance and she purred quite happily, eyeing the creature that had spoken to her once already.
Irene opened the door to the bar, closing her eyes for a second to get used to the change in lighting. When Irene had opened her eyes, she noiced that there were so many different breeds of creatures. This made her only a little nervous, for she didn't really care about who was what. She only worried if others cared and tried to pick a fight with her. Irene held on tightly to her bow, and made her way to the bar. "Ah, bartender, I would like something non-alcoholic please. water would do fine."
Senka paused as a new presence tingled across her senses. Turning, she watched the elf make her way into the club, stopping at a spot at the bar not far from her. Leaning back against the bar, the scout raised an eyebrow as she heard the newcomer's choice of drink.
She examined the newcomer, determining if it was someone that she knew. It wasn't, but she waited for several moments before making the decision to walk over to her fellow elf. "Well, hello," she said with a smirk, "I certainly didn't expect to see another of my kind here."
Irene turned to see she was face to face with another elf, and smiled. "Ah, Likewise. It's a pleasure." Irene stood and presented her free hand. "Irene, and you are?" Irene was unaware that the bartender had given her her water.
