[Blaze's note: the following conversation was taken from the "Hello, How are you" thread & made in to its own topic for clarity of topic(s). Carry on... ]

I'm achy from snow weather. And a bit weird in the head.

That reminds me, Kaderin, I wanted to buy a little crochet doll from you, but when I asked if you wanted one of my dolls too, you stopped talking to me over on Trisphee. I hadn't meant that I wanted to trade dolls. I had meant do you want one too. And, have you ever seen that mermaid scarf pattern?

I tried colouring my hair purple. Nobody even really noticed.

I'm gonna go die of shame now....
But in all seriousness, I'm so sorry for ghosting that conversation. I kind of vaguely recall it, but don't remember which of my little loom knit critters it was you wanted. Tbh, I have been so burned out from work the last few years that I tended to drop conversations like that a lot, but if you're still interested, I'd love to discuss it again.
I hadn't seen it, no. Did a quick search and it looks really pretty though! Unfortunately, it appears to be crochet and needle knit only so I'd have to convert the pattern to loom knitting in order to make it. Though, depending on the size/width, I might actually be able to do that, given enough time.

*big hug* I didn't mean to shame you. I only wanted to see if you were ready to talk about it now. *more hug*

I wanted one of Droopy's little sisters! Very Happy And yes. I would still love one. I don't have any loom knit babies yet. And now I have interac E transfer, so I could pay for it without mailing money.

You could also make your own mermaid, that looked different from that one. LOL I have to get my crochet butt back in gear, because that lady also has a scarf pattern to make a shadow. You know, like Peter Pan was chasing around. But I have so many dolls on my to make list as it is. After I finish sewing this Miss Ella cat doll together I've got amigrumi cactus to make.

Lol. No, I know you weren't shaming. I just feel bad that I ghosted you on that. Now that I've significantly dropped my workload, I can feel the stress just melting away, I've got a few other projects (orders) to finish up, but we can absolutely discuss your dragon baby.
What color(s) do you want for it or did you want one based off a color scheme from the Droopy Dragon item?

I'll definitely have to look into the mermaid pattern, though maybe not for a couple months as I have quite the list of unfinished projects that I'd like to tackle this year in addition to planning to make a strong effort to actually get my Etsy shop (the plushies anyway) up and running by the end of February, so adding new projects isn't a top priority just yet.
Ooooh, I bet the shadow one looks really cool! I'll have to take a look later.

Well, you know the colour scheme on my avatar (UtterlyWeird is the character's name) over there? Could you make a Weird dragon? If that's too complex, I love violet, and I love dark teal.

Yeah, I can probably make that work. Took a screen shot to match up some colors with. And will have to dig into my yarn stash to see what I have.

Very Happy Weird has some dark green tattoos on her, too. The pattern of them is just random swirly stuff.

I don't know that I'll actually be able to add the swirly designs as it's tough to do anything quite that intricate. I've done some custom plushies with patches and stripes of colors, but it was a pain in the butt to figure out and do as I had to remake several part just to get it right, so intricate customizations beyond base colors will probably have a minimum $10+ additional fee, depending on intricacy/detail.
(Not saying I can't/won't do it if you really want it, just saying it will be difficult, expensive, and will take probably a lot time.) But, I could also incorporate the green in some of the accents on the dragon (spine, wings or horns maybe).

For a basic dragon, we have between 2-5 colors for the body: main body, belly, wings, horns, and spine
And an option of 1 or 2 eye colors (both eyes the same color or each eye a different color)

I feel like I should make up an order sheet. XD

I'm starting to lean toward just a little dragon in my favourite colours, applied how you like. Violet, dark green, bright yellow, and dark teal. Eyes that match each other.

LMBO And she might wind up named Custard. Did you ever see that poem?

Just to clarify on "violet" (because googling violet gives a wide spectrum of purple hues) do you mean more like the darker purple on your avi?
And what color eyes? (And stitched on eyes, button eyes, or plastic safety eyes?)

Ah, no. I don't believe I'm familiar with the poem.

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/8b/9b/10/8b9b10d85e1191f69ac9ca6572016711.jpg Like this violet. A teeny less of blue than is in the colour on Weird's dress.

Stitched, so you don't have to buy 'em (unless one of the others is easier). And they can be the yellow.

The Tale of Custard the Dragon

Belinda lived in a little white house,
With a little black kitten and a little gray mouse,
And a little yellow dog and a little red wagon,
And a realio, trulio, little pet dragon.
Now the name of the little black kitten was Ink,
And the little gray mouse, she called her Blink,
And the little yellow dog was sharp as Mustard,
But the dragon was a coward, and she called him Custard.

Custard the dragon had big sharp teeth,
And spikes on top of him and scales underneath,
Mouth like a fireplace, chimney for a nose,
And realio, trulio, daggers on his toes.

Belinda was as brave as a barrel full of bears,
And Ink and Blink chased lions down the stairs,
Mustard was as brave as a tiger in a rage,
But Custard cried for a nice safe cage.

Belinda tickled him, she tickled him unmerciful,
Ink, Blink and Mustard, they rudely called him Percival,
They all sat laughing in the little red wagon
At the realio, trulio, cowardly dragon.

Belinda giggled till she shook the house,
And Blink said Week!, which is giggling for a mouse,
Ink and Mustard rudely asked his age,
When Custard cried for a nice safe cage.

Suddenly, suddenly they heard a nasty sound,
And Mustard growled, and they all looked around.
Meowch! cried Ink, and Ooh! cried Belinda,
For there was a pirate, climbing in the winda.

Pistol in his left hand, pistol in his right,
And he held in his teeth a cutlass bright,
His beard was black, one leg was wood;
It was clear that the pirate meant no good.

Belinda paled, and she cried, Help! Help!
But Mustard fled with a terrified yelp,
Ink trickled down to the bottom of the household,
And little mouse Blink was strategically mouseholed.

But up jumped Custard, snorting like an engine,
Clashed his tail like irons in a dungeon,
With a clatter and a clank and a jangling squirm
He went at the pirate like a robin at a worm.

The pirate gaped at Belindaís dragon,
And gulped some grog from his pocket flagon,
He fired two bullets but they didnít hit,
And Custard gobbled him, every bit.

Belinda embraced him, Mustard licked him,
No one mourned for his pirate victim
Ink and Blink in glee did gyrate
Around the dragon that ate the pyrate.

Belinda still lives in her little white house,
With her little black kitten and her little gray mouse,
And her little yellow dog and her little red wagon,
And her realio, trulio, little pet dragon.

Belinda is as brave as a barrel full of bears,
And Ink and Blink chase lions down the stairs,
Mustard is as brave as a tiger in a rage,
But Custard keeps crying for a nice safe cage.

I probably have some slit pupil safety eyes in yellow as I had stocked up on most colors at one point. So stitched or safety eye works for me really.

Awww poor Custard! That has a nice ending, but I feel bad for Custard! Come live with Derpy and me, we don't care if you prefer your crate and won't call you names for it or laugh at or torture tickle you!
Lol

I haven't been doing well since I've last been posting. The last few days have been a little better, but things still aren't great. Perhaps everything will at least keep moving toward the better direction. I went to the nursery today and bought plants. Plants make me happy.

Maybe the safety eyes. They might show better than stitched. LOL I don't really know. Surprise me?

Oh right. I'm probably going to have to find a box for that one to sleep in if it's going to be Custard, huh? Shouldn't be too hard.

Riley, plants are gooood. *hug* I'm praying for you!

Do you have an Etsy account? I'll buy you a dolly pattern just to add to your library, if you like. One of these? Why? I just bought myself a new crochet pattern and want to share the fun/I'm weird.
