Erin drank the last of her coffee and put her mug away and lifted her pack ready to start walking again.
Liam heard what Pia said.
"Its hard to say Pia, but I assume there will be people living out here, How they tolerate this cold is beyond me though and they can have it once we have got what we have come for" He said and picked up his pack.

Pia nodded and pulled the ropes over her shoulders and began to follow Gretchen as she led them up into the frozen wastelands.
"If you want a warm and safe place to stay tonight, I think we can find a cave if we press on at a faster pace," Gretchen said. "It is hard to find and never used b the others, I have a supply of firewood in there as well."
Rowan nodded, "Sounds good, if we can. I would prefer to keep the shelters we have unused for as long as possible," he added.

Kade nodded after Rowan spoke.
"I want a warm place and safe place that sounds really good to me. So come on people pick the pace up please" Kade said loudly.
Erin smiled.
"You are going to horrible once we really get into the cold Kade." She said and started walking just a little faster.

Gretchen picked up the pace and after another four hours of walking, they were finally at the site. As far as everyone could see, there was just white hills before them but Gretchen led them towards the low slopes and around a bend. After a bit of digging, she revealled the hidden cave and went inside, checking out the dwelling first for direwolves or other creatures that might have inhabited it. There was nothing. Soon Gretchen had a fire going at the mouth of the cave and everyone was getting comfortable and settled in for the evening. Something was troubling gretchen and she walked outside and looked up at the sky.
Rowan followed her, "What is wrong?" he asked.
Gretchen turned to the leader, "I think we are in for a really bad snow storm. They are rare, but lately, they have been more frequent, we might be delayed for a day or so," she added.

Liam helped Gretchen with the fire and put water on to boil.
Kade stepped out to the front of the cave and shivered slightly.he let out a long deep breath and walked back into the cave.
"Don't know about you lot and I will say sorry now but if you find me cuddled up to your back its only because I was cold.I just want to put that out there." Kade said.
"I find you cuddling up to me Kade, you will be black and blue that I promise you buddy" Liam said with a laugh and continued what he was doing.

Pia laughed imagining that scenario. "You guys are just too hilarious," she said and began to make up her bed and then proceeded to take some food out from her pack.
Rakarro pulled the coat tighter around him, "Very very cold here, not used to being so cold." he said. "Am glad I am not black man now. I think I want to go home where it is warm." he said with a chuckle.
Pia laughed, "Well when Liam and I sail south, you are welcome to come." she said adn looked to Erin, "Maybe the warmer climates might be to your taste too?" she suggested with a chuckle.

Erin smiled at Rakaroo.
"Sleep close to the fire that will help and I now know I'm not a cold climate person definitely like the warmer climates" She said.
"Well I say we all sleep close together, you know body heat and all." Kade said.
"Kade you sleep close to the fire too, and I think you also should go south with Pia and Liam" She said with a laugh.
"Don't laugh, seriously thinking of doing just that" He said and rubbed his hands together.

Rowan pulled his cloak around him, "Not a bad idea really. It is only going to get colder."
Gretchen laughed, "You southerners have not seen cold yet." she said. "it will only get worse the further north we go. However, sightings have been common of both the white walkers, shadow cats and direwolves south, so we might not need to go so far north." she added.

Kade stood close to the fire turning around now and then to warm his back.
"I don't need to know this Gretchen its cold enough as it is" He said with a laugh wishing now he had brought another coat.
"Well I agree with Kade about us all sleeping close together and as Gretchen just said we are not use to this sort of cold." Erin said.

Rowan laughed, "Well it seems that we are going to have to pair up and I can see that look in your eye Kade and no, you are not going to snuggle with me," he said in a joking tone.

Kade pouted.
"And I was so looking forward to it too Rowan." Kade said with a laugh.
"Okay so who is pairing up with who then, or are we just going to go with whoever is sleeping and not on watch?" Liam asked.

Rowan looked to Gretchen for confirmation, "I think we should take 3 hour shifts, two on each shift. That will just about cover it." she said.
Rowan looked to Pia, "Would you like the first shift with me?" he asked.
Pia smiled, "I would love to," she said with a broad smile.
Gretchen rose one eyebrow when Rowan suggested Pia. She knew his background and was shocked that he was even considering actually liking someone in a romantic sense.

Liam drank down his coffee.
"Wake me for the next shift" he said and rolled out his bedding near the fire.
"Me also" Kade said and rolled out his bedding.
"Liam I will take over from you when your shift ends."
Erin said. And unpacked her bedding and laid it out to get some sleep and to get some extra warmth.

Gretchen ladelled food into bowls and passed them around along with some bottles of Dornish wine and ale. "eat up and get as much sleep as you can, tomorrow will be another big day."
Pia and Rowan walked outside into the early evening while the others bedded down for the night. They could barely see anything, but their eyes soon adjusted and they could see through the light swirling snow.
Gretchen got into her sleeping roll, "So who wants the shift with me?" she asked.

"I will Gretchen, since I'm taking over for Liam you might as well take over from Kade and do the watch with me." She said.
