Sorry for the late reply, I'm skick and took some meds and fell asleep on the couch.
I could see an elf as a main character, but not a dwarf. Remember it is rare to see a dwarf above ground. So unless the whole game is about the Deep-Roads, I doubt it will happen.
I think there is a sidequest that is easy to miss that you have to do to keep her to stay. I must admit, her romance sceen is really funny.
I usually play a mage or a healer in games where you can choose your class. But in this game I can't side with the mages. They way they act and how they generally act to the public is not really how I would act. If I was in that game I would have sided with the Grand Cleric. Which is odd because I don't care for Religion in this world lol.
I was not bothered by the whole deal with Loghain. I felt that if the warden or Alistair didn't kill him, he woul dprobably not have been punished for what he did. Maybe killing was a bit much. Could have let him lead the charge to the dragon maybe. _________________

@ Karla: That's okay, I hope you feel better.
True, it would be interesting, regardless to have an elf option in addition to the human one.
There must be, I may look at her wiki page later.
That's true, I think I would have opted to side with her too, the mages act in a way that doesn't really give their cause much weight, and it seems like Fenris is right about them almost wanting to be held up above people... Well, some of them anyways.
I think putting him on the front lines would probably be a good solution. He needed to be punished, but I don't know.
@ Keres: I did! I think my mom was making me play in the yard while she wrapped Christmas presents, so I wasn't allowed inside (since she was in the living room or something).
Oh! I finished the freebies! _________________

Thank you Keres and Dusty, I feel much better today. The first day I actually feel like being up and doing things. I managed to get some laundry done and cleaned the house. Go me! lol.
My problem with having to side with the mages or Templars is that neither side was really...how to say... decent in the way they acted? The Mages requested to be treated equillay but blew things up or killed people to show it. The Templars were full on supression from the start with and were only looking for a small reason to start an all out war with the mages (even the mages trying to follow the rules) if even one of them messed up.
Since you like Dragon Age, how do you feel about Mass Effect?

That's good to hear.
Yeah, I just beat the game earlier today, and both sides were rash... It's frustrating that you can't knock Orsino and Meredith's heads together and get them to make up. And, I hate Grace the blood mage... Things certainly would have been better if there was an option to save the Grand Cleric and talk some sense into everyone... Or maybe just lock up all the crazy mages and templars (or better yet, put them in a room together where they can't fight and let them argue for the rest of eternity). I honestly think Bethany was probably the most reasonable mage in the entire game... And, Cullen was probably one of the more reasonable templars.
I like watching my boyfriend play Mass Effect, it looks like a really cool game. I've never actually played it though. _________________

It would have been nice to be able to save the Grand Cleric even if the other two still died. But that brings me back to the reason I can't stand Anders. The Grand Cleric was the one one/thing/person keeping MMeredith and Orsino in line. If he didn't kill her the revolt would have never happened. That does, however, bring up a point, did Anders kill her or did Justice do it? That was one big arse boom. I don't think Anders himself had the power to do that.
Mass Effect is a pretty good game. (The ending sucks though) I didn't think I would like it but I saw MEII on sale for like $9 and figured why not. I got into it and got ME1 and MEIII. I have most of the DLC at this point too. I'm just missing the most recent. Not sure if Ill get it or not. I like (in no order) Miranda, Jack, Kaidan, Tali'Zorah, and EDI. My least favorite character from all three games and all DLC is Liara. I GREATLY dislike her lol. _________________

I agree. :3 I would probably blame Justice. I think Anders would think about doing it, but ultimately it was probably Justice that went through with it. I know ANders is crazy, but he probably doesn't have the power to do it, and in addition, he doesn't exactly seem regretful afterwards, but he seems almost like he didn't want to do it or like he knows it wasn't exactly the right way to get his point across.
My boyfriend loves the Mass Effect games, I think he said the second was his favorite.
I understand disliking certain characters, I have a few from Fire Emblem that I just can't stand... They're too needy. _________________

MEII and MEIII were both really good. MEI was a bit hard to get through just because of the bad controls. I would say I liked MEIII up till the last...20 minutes or so? when the ending kicked in. But as a whole, MEII is the best.
Oooh I love Fire Emblem. Ive been playing them for so long. Good old SNES Fire Emblems.
My favorite character is Ninian from Rekka no Ken. I also like Lucius and Lynn from that same game.
Awakening had a lot of good characters. I liked being able to have your own character. I played a male caster and married Emmeryn.
Nagi from Shadow Dragon was really neat too.
Nyan from Myster of the Emblem had a really good character desitn.
Too many characters to point out lol ><
I liked that Awakening brought in a lot of old characters, but was greatly disappointed when they were just recolors of current classes with no conversation at all. Though I guess it would have been weird seeing as you can have like three Marths in your group lol.
I wish some of the remakes were brough over to English.
What/which character(s) do you find needy? I'm curious. _________________

I think my boyfriend feels the same way about the trilogy. MEII was his favorite too I think.
I love them too, I've played through Fire Emblem, Sacred Stones, Radiant Dawn, and Path of Radiance.
I haven't been able to find the others, Though I haven't really tried looking online.
I love Soren, I think he, Knoll and Lyon were my favorite characters. Though Gatrie and Shinon were up there too.
That's cool, I might have to get that one so that I can play as my own character. In the games I've had you could only really be their strategist.
That sounds a bit odd. I need to go and get all the other games, especially Awakening.
I wish they were too, I think that's the main reason why I haven't played through a lot of them.
I found Mist and Marcia to be needy, and Elincia. They always needed to be guarded and protected. And Mist and Elincia were required on some of the more difficult missions... I usually ended up sending Ike, Tibarn, Jannaf, and Soren out to do whatever the goal was and left Mist and Elincia with Gatrie, my other laguz, and Titannia. _________________

MEII was a good all around game. The story was good, the characters were good, the combat was good, and there were a lot of side quests (which to me, is a component for a good game. Along with character creation/customization and pretty armor)
Was that the one for the Wii? I half played it, just to beat it. I didn't really pay much attention. It was far too easy even in the difficult setting. Well easier than the SNES/GB ones.
Fire Emblem Secrets of the New Emblem has an playable Avatar you make, but it is only in Japanese. Awakening is an English one where you can play your character. Its for 3DS though. I don't know if you have one or not.
I bought this the second I saw it lol. I lost control. I had to buy it. It called to me. Bbbbbuuuuyyyyyy~~~~~~~ mmmmmeeeeee~~~~
The Sacred Stones is really close in gameplay to Rekka no Ken. They were both for GBA and came out around the same time. _________________

That's cool then. I might give it a shot over the summer when I'm home.
Radiant Dawn was, and yeah, the game was super easy... I think I got stuck once? Which is sad. I usually get stuck two chapters or so.
Oh, okay, cool. I don't have one, but I've been thinking about getting one. Maybe for my birthday. I might not know Japanese, but I could probably get through it. My brothers have played through a couple of games that were entirely in Japanese.
That's awesome.
Awesome, I'll look for it. It sounds like a good game (well, all Fire Emblem games do)... _________________

I enjoy my 3DS. I have the original DS. The HUGE grey one that came out in like 2004 or whatever. Yes Ive had mine that long lol, it was time for an update. Plus I wanted one because of Pokemon X and Y coming out in October or whenever.
Aside from Fire Emblem I have Code of Princess and Etrian Odyssey IV. Fire Emblem has a lot of game play to it. There are also DLC chapters and maps too. Great replay value. I recommend it. Two very sexy Karla thumbs up! _________________

That's cool. I probably need an update to my hand held gaming systems. I have my old original grey nintento DS too. It's falling apart though. It was originally my brother's. I also have my game boy advanced, my original gameboy, and my mom's old hand held sega.
Very nice. I'll look into them. I don't have too many games (I get obsessed for a while, like I have with Dragon Age). I have some of the old Sonic Genesis games for Sega (again, my mom's, but I'm the only one who plays it), Final Fantasy XIII (only the first one, the second two are on my list), and all my Sims-Sims 3 games. However, I miss playing Diablo III... My mom 'lost' it. Granted, I was like 7 when my aunt gave me that game. _________________

Code of Princess is really really short and very easy. I bought it because one of my favorite voice actress was the main character. Honestly I would say pass on that one and get something else.
Etrian Odyssey is a very hard game. So much so that I have to stop playing it at times less my DS fly through a window or something. >.>
I really never had a reason to update my DS. All DS games play on all the DS, so as long as the games still played I was happy with mine. I might get a skin for the old one now. Probably a Pokemon one since that's all I play on it lol. My favorite Pokemon is Mew if you were wondering lol.
Diablo II is so much better than III. II is only 20$ including the expansion packs. So that's not bad at all. _________________

Okay.
I think my brother might have that game... It sounds familiar. But, yeah. Challenging is probably good for me... Sometimes I need to have a reason to set a game down.
-nods- Most of the games that I wanted were all still being made for GBA, so I never felt a reason to replace my poor abused DS. And, when I had my DS in working condition it was mostly used to play Ninten Dogs.
Nice. I think my favorite pokemon is Jolteon.
I meant to type II, I think my keyboard got a bit overzealous. But yeah, I love that game, though I don't think I ever got very far in it (then again, I was 7 last time I played). _________________
