Do you remember your very first item? Donated or purchased?
I remember getting a wintertide wand from a certain story teller here 
I was also gifted a few items from several people noted on my quest page.
Then we have the items that i got myself which were from an event. The amazing fairytale items!
The two most memorable purchases for me after that were the mouse slippers  and the pharaoh cloak....
Dreams came true! I am glad i am able to pass on happiness to newbies here and there. I just wish all the gold and money funneled into those accounts was actually used after being donated. More often than naught i donate to people who seemed active but then vanish after a week.

The very first item I bought was the Rags (which I still think makes a pretty nice, albeit slightly tattered, dress). I worked hard towards buying that as fast as possible after joining, because I hated being on the forums in only my underwear.

Irishrain this is an awesome thread! Brings back memories.
I believe Sir Meldrick gave me some clothes so I wouldn't be naked.  Unfortunately I don't remember what. Loris gave me a rose. That I remember well. I was very touched by that. So touched that I donated to her any chance I could get so that others might feel how I felt.
Unfortunately I don't donate much right now. Partly because I am back from a 3 year hiatus and I am catching up myself, and also because of the reason you mentioned Irishrain. I guess I shouldn't let that stop me. I'll try to do better in the future.

I know! I refused to post until I had worked up enough for a maid's dress by playing the games.
My first donation was from my first Zantarni friend, CherrySundae. She sent what I thought (at the time)was an awful lot of zg.

I don't think being in my underwear bothered me much. I'm not a very modest person. But I did (still do) love to collect all of the pretty things. I think I might be part dragon. I love anything pretty and shiny.

lol those are great, i didnt mind being naked rofl funny... I was postings storm asking questions and raving about how i loved this site so much more than gaia. I remember being donated 10k in zg and i thought it was a HUGE amount! lol... I go on spree's where i donate 75k  to random newbies because i know how it felt when someone cared about me.. It was awesome. Its nice to be treated special thats what i loved about Zan... People treat you special here. 
And yes i am so surprised no one had ever posted this thread before? It just came to me when i was going through my stuff remember nearly every place or time i got it.. i have a great memory lol

Do you know what? I actually can't remember the first item donated to me. :shocked:
I remember the first item that meant a lot to me donated to me, which was the Sweet Death bow, donated to me by Lady Nema.
I remember this because it was the first rare bow I ever got. When I first started on Zantarni, I remember deciding that I want to have all the bows on the site. I worked very very hard and at one point, I did have all of the bows, crossbows, arrows and archery related items released.
But yes, the Sweet Death was the first donation that really meant a lot to me.

I do not believe I ever had anything donated to me in the beginning. . .my first purchases were the chain mail pants and top, a black and white tunic and the black boots. . .
The first items I worked hard to get was the viking Outfit and Fire sword (10K was hard to come by back then).
I believe the first item I donated for was the Artificial wings. . .I really loved that outfit. . .brown boots, chain mail, viking outfit, fire sword and Arties. . .I forgot about the horns. . .

If I remember correctly, the first item donated to me was a maid's dress. And the first thing I bought was the Ice Priestess Skirt.
Man, that's taking me waaaay back. I think I have my first avatar on my Avatar Closet post.
EDIT: And my first quest was for the Eclipse Coat

I believe the artist is DarkRayne. She also (much later) did some couple art for us. *smiles*
A couple more memories… this is my first avatar that I regarded as "complete", and I was very pleased with it. It was harder to get gold in those days, and there weren't that many items available in any case, either in the Tailor's Shop or through DIs.
I love this art of the same avatar, by FelineOddity (image is too big to post).
I think the first donation item I bought was the Artificial Wings. The first item donated to me was the original Chinese Dress (the one in my signature), which was a gift from Lord Scarz.

I bought a few items before I posted my introduction thread (well ok... Rags And underwear) because I didn't want to be naked
First bought item: Green Thigh-High Stockings
Meldrick gifts: a few Gypsy set pieces for my first dream avatar (which was never finished and I don't think I'll ever save up for the cloak) and a Glendor
And of course I got a rose from Loris (a pink one).
This was my first avatar (totally noobish xD):
And this is the first one I though was actually good. I remember collecting the elemental weapons was one of my main goals back then.

I totally forgot about the Glendor from Sir Meldrick! I remember now. It was one of the Onyx ones. I loved it so much! I was in awe. I don't think I realized until then that there were pets on here. I don't know how I could forget that. Sir Meldrick is such a kind soul.

Mine was a Ruby Love Chain Glendor I found it when I checked my wardrobe for my first item and thought "that has to be a gift, there's no way I figured out there's a selling forum THAT fast"

I don't remember specifically what my first items were... it was quite a while ago. I do remember that the Tail of Yur and the Phoenix Wings were among the first items, though.... along with things like the Medea items and various Magical Tights.

My brain hurts.
I do know I joined during a Halloween event and those were some of my first items.
I know Divine gave me one of my very first donations and it was a Black Heart Top. Back when zanny had journals I had written down everything that was given to me.
I will say I have a huge collection of spare items that I would love to donate but I know that so few people stick around. In fact, the reason I have so many spares is a ton of people dump their whole inventories into mine when they leave.
