Recently I decided not to get cable... because I learned a trick to get it for free.. however I also have not really watched TV for about a year now.
I qualify TV as actually watching a channel of TV. However, I got tired of making sure I was home all the time. Then I discovered Hulu and the various other streaming websites. So I could just watch those via my computer and catch up on all my favorite shows. Now I do not even exploit my free cable.
So my question is, do you watch TV? Is there really any point to having TV channels out there when everything can be found on Hulu?

Doesn't hulu give you the episode a week later then tv and unless the show is complete you don't have access to every episode? Watching House that's the problem I had with hulu and my internet ok but still watching things like movies or longer shows takes to long to buffer and everything it's not worth it. I love back round noise so yes I watch tv _________________

one day, television will become obscure and be replaced by newer and more powerful design.

I do watch TV, certain shows, certain channels. . and movies. . .I also like HULU and have used it to catch up on shows when I was unable to see them otherwise. . .HULU used to be much better in the beginning you could see almost every episode of a show instead of only a handful now _________________

There are people like I who do not have the resources to watch tv online, such as Hulu.
I have to share a computer with crappy bandwith that is wasted by my brother's constant playing of stupid, pointless games ( -glareglare- )...
So, yeah, I kinda have no other choice. ^^;
Though, I am not an avid tv watching person.
I love House. House is good and worth watching. <3 _________________

Bo doesn't watch tv. If Bo wants to watch a tv series Bo enjoys, Bo just goes out and buys the dvd for it. Same with movies. I have a heap of movies that I was given on my hard drive, but I've only watched 2 out of...a lot of movies. _________________ Court Jester? Bo?

I like watching TV. While streaming sites are convenient when I miss something, I still like being able to sit down and curl up when I watch something, I don't like sitting infront of my computer all the time.

Blaze and I cut the cable years ago. There was NOTHING on worth watching and certainly nothing we wanted the princes exposed to (have you seen what passes as childrens' programming these days???). Beyond that, the idea of paying to see commercials is maddening.
* breaks out the soapbox *
Every time I make the statement about there being nothing worth watching on TV, someone says, "Well, what about the documentaries? Where else are you going to see animals in their natural habitats?" Oh, gee. I don't know. How about actually going to the animals' natural habitats? Take a trip and see stuff for real. Yeah, OK, it would be hard to get to Africa or the South American rainforests. But how hard could it be to find out what's available in your home state and making a day trip to go see it for yourself? Beats being a TV zombie any day.
* steps down from the soapbox and puts it away *
Sorry... got a little carried away there. Um... what was the question? Oh, yeah. Do I watch TV?. No. _________________

Honestly, I do watch T.V. but not as much as I use to when I was younger. To me, I rarely find something that I really want to watch. Plus the television in my room isn't working (my country's cable provider is being a little weird). _________________

I only watch TV when I am able to. I am glad that Hulu is around though because, while I am away at college that is the only way I choose to see anything. TV is becoming quickly antiquated. _________________

I only watch anime on the computer. I use my computer for too many other things to try watching tv on it too. Between buffering and possibly lower quality it isn't worth it.
Nope I will stick to watching tv on my nice big tv. (Well bigger then a computer.) _________________ Moon's Youtube//Blog

TV's a bit of a mixed bag for me. Since I live in Canada, I can't use Hulu, and while there are other websites out there, it can sometimes be difficult to find exactly what I'm looking for if it's not the most popular thing on TV.
Beyond that, I'm an impatient devil who enjoys watching episodes as soon as they air, as well as being able to watch really old programs that are near-impossible to find on the Internet but still air at 3AM for the nostalgic nocturnals. There's also the issue of original Canadian programming, which, while usually lower budget than American programming, can sometimes be really good, and very difficult to find online.
And finally--I swear, I'm finishing this long rant!--I really like some of the stations with very narrow focuses. Some days I want to watch nothing but Sci-Fi, and I end up getting introduced to a handful of new shows that I'd never even heard of.

I watch a small amount of TV I just don't find it that interesting.. I watch a few shows.. Supernatural, True Blood, and Survivor when its in season.
If I am bored I will surf the channels looking for a horror movie or something of that nature.. I have grown fond of a show called Tosh.0 its funny as can be on comedy central.
Tivo is set to record all kinds of shows that I end up just deleting instead of sitting down to watch them. I never get time to anymore. When I do get time I hit up the laptop or ps3. _________________
