Haven't had cable for almost four years now. Don't really miss it either. The cartoons I used to enjoy have gotten ridiculous, and the thing with the sci-fi channel made me TWITCH. (syfy? Really? *sigh*)
Really, the only thing I use the TV for is video games at this point. And I admit, I'm not terribly into streaming things either. If a friend shows me something and I like it, I'll go out and buy it myself. That way I can watch it whenever I want.
...also, DVD commentaries are unconditional love and entertainment. _________________ I got kicked out of Barnes and Noble for moving all the Bibles to the fiction section.

I still watch tv, but I think my taste in shows have changed a lot over time.
I am really not a huge fan of reality shows, but i do like those creative ones life face off and other like that. I tend to watch documentaries on the history channel and lot and some british comedies when i can.
I think I have become tired of police dramas. may have watched one too many law and orders. Still love those though.
I tend to watch more light hearted stuff online like animes and asian dramas. I find they tend to relax me more than anything else.
Most of the time I find myself online with the television shut off. there are a few shows I still like to watch like once upon a time and revenge and the comedies. but I tend to record them and then have a little offline marathon time a few times out the month.

I still watch television sometimes, but that is only because I currently have free cable with my apartment. I will not be paying for it myself when I move.
I do watch the news and a couple of specific shows when they air if I'm available at the time, but I watch most everything online right now. A lot of shows are available the day after on the network's website, and I can get the shows somewhere else pretty quickly if they aren't. There have also been no problems hooking my computer up to my television screen via hdmi.
There would be no need to pay for cable when I can quickly get everything on the internet. _________________

I try my best not to watch TV because most of the shows are completely useless. Sure they are there to entertain, but I want to be entertained by something much better. Plus it gets me off of my chair/bed and actually doing some type of activity with friends, family, etc. From time to time there are awesome movies that come on which I do enjoy watching, and sometimes I find myself wandering over to the food network to get new ideas, but other than that I gotta break away from this addiction. One bad affect is that I use TV ALL THE TIME as background noise for when I sleep or if the house is too quiet, but I'll half pay attention to what's going on.
Though this month I made an oath to myself and I want to see how well I can keep it up: Every time I want to watch TV, I need to replace that urge with listening to music. Music helps me in so many ways, and I want to find my artistic side again. _________________

I watch tv mostly at night. There not too many thing in the daytime that I watch. Probably because I'm busy studying for my next class. I will sometimes record a show if I think I won't be able to watch it. I like reality shows that are creative. I watch face Off. I don't care for all the gorriey monsters, but do love to see artist at work creating all of these creatures. _________________

The aerial is not even plugged into our TV's. Has not been for years now. I do not watch commercial television at all. We have just subscribed to Netflix now that it is in Australia and I love being able to watch what I want, when I want. I have a set number of shows I watch and I watch them as they come out, but I prefer to spend my time doing other things. _________________

netflix is something i would not minding getting one day. i tend to record everything and then watchit real quick as i fastforward through the commercials. Most of my recording are on demand right now. i haven't turned the television on in my room in over a year i think, it's kinda weird, i used to watch it all the time.

I think most of the time I'm watching stuff that I've recorded. There are several craft and art show that play early in the morning. I'm never up that early so I record them and watch them later in the even or even at night. I like to record and watch Jerry's painting show on Friday morning. I don't watch all of them but there are several favorite episode that I don't mine watching over again. At the moment I'm following an episode that deals with roses and wine glasses. I enjoyed it but I missed the final epiisode for the session. Lucky for me it's repeating. I'll finally get to see him finish his painting. _________________
