I stopped my cable TV partially because it was taking up the bills when no one ever watched it and partially because my mother had booked a bunch of Chinese soap operas beforehand and I was tired of watching a bunch of Asian people sucking up to each other.
In the United States, we took a survey. The survey asked if we thought TV was a necessity of life. And I know more than half of us said yes. While I love some television shows, TV has become some sort of ADDICTION. _________________

I miss TV, I pretty much don't watch it at all anymore since I haven't had cable in over a year. There aren't any prime time shows I watch so the only things I watch are my PBS Britcoms and Masterpiece whenever there's something good on. That's when PBS actually puts them on, since all they do is beg beg beg anymore. Why should anyone give them money when all they do is play Doo Wop and Celtic Woman instead of their actual programming which is what the viewers want to see? My family isn't going to pay for them to put on Jackie Evancho for the millionth time.
I think surveys are worthless, they don't ask every single person in the country so they don't know how many people really agree with that. _________________

I hardly ever watch TV. The programs are ususally uninteresting and repetitive and the news is depressing. So I avoid it. I have better things to do with my time. _________________

I watch TV when I have the chance top do so.
Most of the time I'll be at school, talking on the phone to my best friend or boyfriend, and/ or playing video games. Plus the crack load of art projects I do
So TV, when I do get the chance, I watch cartoon network OuO I'm just a big kid at heart. _________________

I don't really watch TV. I just watch Netflix. It sucks because there are NEW seasons to shows I like and they're not done or on Netflix yet. I just don't have all the channels in my room, plus I prefer playing video games most of the time and my boyfriend doesn't have his cable set up in his room.
Most of the stuff I like I can watch on Netflix. I don't have Hulu but Hulu is good too.
Plus you can find a lot of shows/movies/new and old alike online.

Yes -- mostly PBS programs. Also like "Criminal Minds," "Person of Interest," and Law & Order shows. _________________

I watch TV when I can. I mostly watch my mother`s shows, like ``Criminal Minds``, ``American Idol``, and ``American Greed``. I also watch some other shows but I only get to watch them when no one else wants to watch TV.

Recently I decided not to get cable... because I learned a trick to get it for free.. however I also have not really watched TV for about a year now.
I qualify TV as actually watching a channel of TV. However, I got tired of making sure I was home all the time. Then I discovered Hulu and the various other streaming websites. So I could just watch those via my computer and catch up on all my favorite shows. Now I do not even exploit my free cable.
So my question is, do you watch TV? Is there really any point to having TV channels out there when everything can be found on Hulu? |
Not everything can be found on Hulu, but most everything can be found on the internet in some form or another. I dropped my cable sub. about a year ago and neither me nor my two roomies miss it because we all have a Netflix subscription and we all know how to use the internet. So when I say "I watch a lot of TV" what I really mean is "I watch a lot of television shows on the internet." _________________
