I've updated my list. I'm struggling through the last HP book. My issue is I know what is going to happen next and I don't want to start another book until I finish. That way I can finish the other two books. I'm kinda keen to get into the meaty bits of Dracula.

I got about half way through Dracula....DX I should give it another go but I have a good 200 books on my shelves that I need to read.

I started it, but at the beginning it is rather dull with Jonathan's diary about his trip to see the Count. That part is boring. >.>

First time I read LOTR, I powered through it like it was a picture book almost. Second reading...I'm still on the first book where Gandalf is explaining about the rings of power I think. >.>

I honestly think I will get stuck again when I get up to the part where they are trying to get through the creepy forest to Bree. The first time I read that, it was tedious....and I wondered why it wasn't mentioned in the movie. >.>

I know. I was young and naive when I had that thought. But as with The Hobbit, I feel the movies didn't do the books justice. The Hobbit just plain annoys me when it comes to the movies. I have yet to watch the 2nd instalment for The Hobbit because I know I'll be extremely critical of it. So I'm just going to wait until the 3rd instalment comes out before I watch it.

I adore the movies but I haven't made it through the books. I still think I would like the movies more when I do though.
I will say the I can respect that they are trying to add more to the Habbit then just the original story but they did draw out some of the parts far too much.

There were actually several parts of the first movie that were added, that weren't even in the book. And they completely changed Thorin's attitude and his history. I'll stop before I get completely carried away by it. >.>
I prefer the book version over the movie version of The Hobbit, yet I prefer the movie version (barely) over the book version of the LOTR. >.>

The hobbit wasn't the only book they where pulling from, which is why there are more movies.
