I have been really putting off my reaching goals fr my posting goals. and for spending time with family. Though I can say that we have still been reading book at night. minus the nights where she stays up ridiculously late.

The last book I read was terribly written.....I don't think the person used an editor. The grammar, spelling and just flat out misprints were rather distracting :/ Oh well - another book finished!

Oh, I hate that^^... and I've been seeing more and more of this type of thing occur the last few years. I'm not sure if it's a matter of more people self-publishing or a drop in the level of education when it comes to things like grammar and spelling, or if it's something else. Regardless, I'm with you, Riley - it's very distracting (& annoying, IMO) to have to sort through things like that! But yes, "yay! Another book read"
... and speaking of... I've finished another: Memnoch the Devil, by Anne Rice. It was an interesting read on a number of levels, but I would not, under any circumstances, say it was really a "vampire chronicles" book...
addendum/edit, Oct.13: read a few more books the last few days...

I'm on book 3 of the Mortal Instruments series. The movie wasn't too bad, but I much prefer the books.
